Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

Vessels at Lake Melissani are 12-man rowboats with rower. Passengers may experience crowds while boarding the boats during the high Season of July & August

The boat ride, spanning approximately 10-15 minutes, includes entry to the cave, the duration of which depends on the number of visitors in the queue.

Visitors to Drogarati Cave must negotiate approximately 150 steep steps carved out of cave rock.

Recommended Dress:Smart, Casual, Comfortable footwear.

Visitors are not permitted to swim in the Lake, in order to preserve the natural environment and protect the site

Please have available the necessary identification documents (EU Passengers-ID, International Passengers-Passport)

Kathrine was our very professional, knowledgeable, fun tour guide. We enjoyed the caves and bus ride around the islands, by our safe driver. Boat in cave was exceptional! We would recommend this tour to anyone. And 1/2 the price of our cruise ship tour!
The caves are a must see! Enjoyed this tour!

A nice morning exploring this cave. The boat trip was very short and guide didn’t speak that good English so missed a lot of the information

Maria was great explaining the history of the island as we traveled around to the Caves and Lake. We saw the wonderful and picturesque sights of the island of Argostoli. I’d recommend this tour.

Great experience with Avalon Travel if you want to take a couple of hours hike. They picked us up directly from the port where the cruise docked and from there we went to the cave of Drogarati and then to Lake Melissani. We also saw from above the wonderful beach of Myrtos. Our guide Maria was excellent, spoke very good Italian and was very helpful with any questions about the place. Definitely an experience to be redone.

Heads up the Drogarati Cave has lots of steps if you go down you have to come back up. Nonetheless it was amazing. Melissani Lake is easier. Once in the boat the experience is stunning.

The caves where well worth the 40 min wait to see. Our guides where wonderful and stood in line for us so we could sit in the shade. Be aware it is a very steep badly lit walk down to the cave. The lake is well a lake!

If you are traveling with a car , you can do this tour on your own in three quarter of the price . It is to expensive reltvly to what you get in return.
