An experience which travels you back in time, learns you about the Dafnis olive history. Learn all about truths and myths of olive oil, from Olive Experts, taste one of the highest phenolic olive oils in the world and receive a certificate of participation.

Your tour starts with a personally guided walk through the ancient olive groves. Admire the untouched olive area and meet the resident olive expert in the groves. Hear the story of the oldest olive variety in the world and experience being an islander yourself. When you arrive at the mill, enjoy the "taste like a pro" program to learn how the production is made: combining tradition with the latest technology. Savor delicious Greek olive delicacies during the visit of the olive mill. In this private tour, you will learn how to taste and recognize high quality olive oil just as the professionals do in our workshop. It is an unique lesson which you can share with friends and family. Find out about the therapeutic and health protecting qualities of olive oil and learn how to distinguish between top quality and non extra virgin olive oil. During the program, enjoy some delicacies such as olive oil paired up with bread, tomatoes, feta cheese and a handmade cracker with a glass of local wine. At the end of the tour you will be awarded a certificate of participation. The tour ends at approximately 1:30pm.

Start to finish, this was a terrific way to spend the day. The guides were smart and informative, And the whole process was educational. The highlight of the day was when 93 year old grandpa sang us a wedding tune. What a gem!

The Governors is a must for any visitor to Corfu. We saw it on a TV programme back in UK and were completely taken by it. Our visit was not a disappointment! The whole experience, from pick-up from our hotel, the journey across to the Mill were brilliant. The driver was so engaging about the island, the olives and everything to do with life on Corfu that we thought we might be disappointed by the actual visit. No need to worry, the visit was exceptional! We were welcomed by Irini, who was conducting our tour and tasting and offered coffee or water and we had time to sit and enjoy the ambience outside the mill. From there we went to the museum to see how things were done in the past and then to see the state of the art processes employed today. The credentials for their olive oil is incredibly impressive and health benefits are amazing. We moved into the tasting room to taste the early and late harvest oils and were treated to an impressive tasting accompanied by some small traditional dishes which really emphasised the wonderful products. This is a real Corfu experience and one not to be missed, great way to spend a morning and incredible value for money
If you think you know anything about Olive Oil - then prepare to be be educated!

What a unique way to enjoy Corfu. The trip / tour went off without any problems. The company was very communicative and very welcoming. Our guide met us early and pulled the entire group together and got us on the road on time. We were concerned about time because we booked our tour outside the “sanctioned” shore excursions on our cruise ship. No need to be, Governor’s are first rate professionals who delivered everything that was promised in the tour and taught us a lot about Olive Oil we didn’t know. The tastings were fun and delicious. The knowledge shared was impressive and the experience unforgettable.

Aside from the long, winding drive.... The scenery is incredible and beautiful. Plus, supporting a local olive oil producer when so many groves are abandoned. Andreana was a bit soft spoken but very knowledgeable. We learned the old ways and saw the new machinery. The facility is very pristine and welcoming. The tasting room is community benches and they serve after a little historical video presentation. You not only try the two types of olive oil but you also try some foods with the oils. And of course, do a little shopping. The staff and drivers are very proud of their products. Everyone was wonderful to talk to and ask questions. Our driver took us to the oldest tree and castle ruins in the area and braved the traffic back to port. I am very grateful for this experience. I hope more will support small farms like this one.

This was a lovely day in the country side. We saw some great places in route to the Governor’s Mill. The history and story of Corfu Olive Oil is very interesting. I think the staff did a great job…. Our driver was very impressive with all his knowledge. He was on time and very accommodating. It’s a great 3/4 day experience

We visited the Olive Mill on the recommendation of a friend who had visited the previous week. We were so glad we took her advice as it was a very positive experience and well worth the cost We were collected from Agios Gordios and dropped back at the end of the tour,in addition we were driven to the Mother tree and the hill Fort. The talk at the Mill was interesting and informative. The tasting gave us an opportunity to try the different extra Virgin olive oils based on the time of year they were harvested. I would reccomend this venue to visitors to Corfu

Despite a bit of confusion finding our guide after disembarking the ship, the team at The Governor's Olive Mill went above and beyond—personally calling to ensure we connected with the tour. That level of care set the tone for what turned out to be an incredible experience. The tour itself was deeply educational, offering fascinating insights into the health benefits and production process of high-quality olive oil. We learned so much more than we expected, and the passion of the team was truly inspiring. The tasting was, of course, a highlight—flavorful, fresh, and expertly guided. We also had the unique opportunity to visit the oldest olive tree, a living piece of history that added a beautiful layer of depth to the experience. As a delightful surprise, the tour included a visit to an old fort, which added even more cultural richness to the day. Highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in food, history, or simply enjoying a thoughtfully curated local experience.
