  I did this food tour with Sonali. She is very knowledgeable about the food and history of Old Delhi. We tried many different delicious dishes that would be very difficult to find on your own. There was a lot of different foods to try and they were all wonderful. Sonali is very personable and makes the tour quite fun. Thanks Sonali for an unforgettable experience!

  This food and heritage walk was easily one of the highlights of my time in Delhi. Over the course of about five hours, the experience beautifully combined incredible food, rich history, and local culture in a way that would be nearly impossible to replicate on my own. Sonali, our guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the city. Beyond just introducing us to amazing dishes, she shared stories about Old Delhi’s history, daily life, and hidden gems, which added so much depth to the experience. It truly felt like exploring the city with a local friend. The food was outstanding and incredibly diverse—we sampled a wide range of dishes (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian), and everything was delicious. The pacing was perfect too, giving us time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. Definitely come hungry—you’ll need it! Overall, the tour exceeded my expectations—delicious, insightful, and incredibly well-run.   Our wonderful tour guide Parul, navigated us through a bit of history about Delhi, it‘s flavors and spices and cuisine which my colleague and I enjoyed very much. This in general was a wonderful and interesting experience which I strongly recommend because it’s done by a local guide and we as visitors could have never discovered the interesting places and kitchens/restaurants Parul took us.   We did the tour “The Great Indian Food Tour: Old Delhi Food and Heritage Walk” during a day off on a business trip – and it was definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Delhi. The concept of the tour is simply great: a perfectly coordinated mix of starters, snacks, main courses and desserts – combined with exciting background information on Indian cuisine and history. It was particularly impressive for me that we visited many places that I probably never would have dared to go to on my own. That is exactly what makes this tour truly worthwhile. A huge compliment goes to our guide Parul! She was extremely professional, motivated, very well informed and at the same time pleasantly easygoing and humorous. You immediately notice that she is from Delhi and knows her way around. She studies tourism and brings not only knowledge, but also a great way of teaching – it really doesn’t get any more authentic. Everything was also at a top level in terms of organisation: Small group of only 4 people (according to the guide, a maximum of 6–8 participants are common) Very good communication in advance via WhatsApp Punctual start at a central meeting point Transport during the tour already organized and included in the price There were many highlights when eating: The mango ice cream was sensational, the deep-fried Indian cheese was incredibly delicious and the chicken also convinced me absolutely. I was particularly surprised by the desserts – I expected them to be extremely sweet (similar to Turkish cuisine), but they were pleasantly subtly sweetened and perfect for my taste. The tour is a successful mix of classic street food and small, hidden restaurants. One issue I was honestly a bit skeptical about beforehand was hygiene – but these concerns were completely unfounded. Everything was carefully selected, we felt safe at all times and had no problems whatsoever. The route through Old Delhi is intense and that is what makes it so special: narrow streets, lots of people, loud noises and intense smells. You should know this beforehand – but it’s precisely this atmosphere that makes the tour so authentic and unique. My tips for future participants: Be sure to come hungry – there’s more than enough to eat Wear comfortable shoes Being open to street food – absolutely worth it Knowledge of English is necessary Conclusion: This tour is suitable for anyone who wants to experience real, authentic Indian food – off the beaten track, but still safe and well organized. Whether for the first time in Delhi or – as with me – for the third time: You discover the city and its cuisine all over again. • Fun tour with unfortunate side problem

  Guide, whose name I don't remember was great. The foods were tasty and varied. We had a negative experience, no fault of the guide. My phone was stolen. The guide contacted the owner of the company, Raghu, who met us, took us to the police station. Raghu went out of his way to help us, even transporting us back to our hotel. He continued to monitor the progress of the police as we continued on our trip. We may have missed a few stops on our food tour, but love the way we were treated by the company. Highly recommend them.
