Bruges is a city best explored at a relaxed pace, with space for curiosity and conversation along the way.
With nearly ten years of experience guiding in Bruges, we have learned that no two tours need to be the same. On this private walking tour, the route and stories are adapted to the interests and rhythm of the people joining us, allowing the city to unfold in a natural, unhurried way.
Some travellers enjoy well-known viewpoints, others prefer quieter streets, local life, or deeper historical context. At the start of the walk, we take a moment to understand what you are most curious about and shape the experience from there. There is no fixed script, but a thoughtful walk through the historic city, following canals, small streets, and lesser-known corners.
Halfway through the tour, we pause for a short break with a drink of your choice, before continuing the walk at a comfortable pace.

The Markt
We begin on Bruges’ main square, where your guide introduces the city’s history and layout. This is a perfect place to get oriented and understand how Bruges developed as a medieval trading city. Depending on your interests, we may focus on daily life, trade, architecture, or how the city functions today.
Gruuthusemuseum
Around the Gruuthuse area, your guide introduces the story of Bruges’ wealthy elite and how daily life differed between social classes in the medieval city. Through architecture and location, we talk about power, comfort, trade, and how people experienced city life across the seasons.
We will stop at my favorite chocolate shop in the city for a delicious piece of chocolate.
