Here you will be free to explore hearing all the interesting details and the reasons behind such an unusual practice with your audio guide. Open your eyes to the city’s hidden side – and you’ll never see Rome the same way again.

Your expert historian guide will explain how this network of sacred tunnels is associated with the first Christians in ancient Rome. You’ll descend into the labyrinthian corridors carved into the soft volcanic rock and discover the frescoes, strange iconography and burial places which doubled as places of worship when the Christians were persecuted.

5.00My son took this tour and had a great time - he came back loaded with information from his tour. The guide was fantastic and my son was excited to tell me everything he had learned. Even during the drive from one place to another the guide was giving out information. This was the second tour we booked with City Wonders and they were absolutely great to work with - would highly recommend.
Now I understand the 'Lasagne' aspect of Rome!

5.00This tour was fantastic. Megan was a wonderful guide who clearly loves and appreciates the city of Rome. She was a wealth of information and kept our tour interesting and engaging. The lines in many of these places, even in November, were long so we particularly appreciated the reserved time slots that kept us moving at a good pace.

5.00Had already done all the major sites Colosseum, Vatican City and the four major Basilicas, Pantheon, etc. Still had time in Rome so booked this tour for something different. So glad I did it was very interesting and took me to places I wouldn't have otherwise gone to or known about.
