• Excellent tour if short on time and want to see as much as you can in one day.

  Very happy with our tour around Varanasi. Our tour guide Ballu really looked after us for the day and gave us detailed information everywhere we went. Our driver Ashish was brilliant as well and made sure we got everywhere safe and sound. The day started early to catch the sunrise on the ganges. Afterwards we walked though the old streets of the city before returning for breakfast to our hotel. We were collected again and brought to the university campus where Ballu brought us to one of the many temples we visited. These included the Shri Satyanarayan Tulsi Manas Mandir which had the Ramayana engraved on the walls, the Shree Durga Mata dedicated to the Durga and a Hanuman temple. After this we were dropped to lunch ( which was the only let down of the whole trip it was bland food but I understand why we were brought there as it was freshly made with little risk of getting sick) after this we were brought to sarnath and were shown around the area where the Buddha gave his first sermon. We also visited the museum here. After this we were brought back to the hotel for an hour or so to get ready for the aarti ceremony on the ganges where we have a rooftop view of the whole thing. Throughout the day we were brought to shops selling shawls, teas and other souvenirs. Don't feel pressured if you don't want anything just a firm no is enough. Overall the tour was excellent and Ballu our tour guide was wonderful he was very knowledgeable as he grew up in varanasi so he know certain things other tour guides wouldn't. He was extremely helpful and friendly and even little things like getting us a cup of chai before the aarti ceremony really left a good impression.   Zishan was a very sincere and diligent guide. Even though I was a Hindu and he was not, he pointed out various salient aspects of Kashi that I was not aware of. He gave me access to his contacts, who helped me arrange an excellent Darshan of Kashi Viswanath Temple and an absolutely lovely view of the Ganga Aarthi. He was with me for full 14 hours with just an hour break. I was impressed by his work ethic and Dilegence

  We were led by Sunny who is very knowledge about the city and brought us to all the sites per the itinerary (plus some local foods!) The driver drove safely and kept our belongings safe as well. The morning boat ride is very interesting as it will pass through the cremations sites (the highlight of the tour!!) Unfortunately, the day is foggy so we could not see the sunrise and the tour startrd at 930am instead of 530am In the afternoon, it is mostly about temple hopping in which we found less interesting than the boat ride in the morning (more about personal preference) At the end of the tour, Sunny brought us to a local restaurant to try local mutton :)

  Unfortunately we were delayed by the weather and travelling so our full day had to be condensed, starting at 1100 rather than 0530. This lead to the tour being a bit rushed and coupled with our group being tired, we probably didn’t get the best out of our guide.

  This was a 5-star experience from start to finish, largely thanks to our incredible guide, Ballu. He was not just a guide but a true storyteller who made this 13-hour day fascinating. Ballu took us deep into the city to visit the major Hindu temples, explaining the architecture and religious significance in great detail. We also visited Buddhist sites, giving us a complete spiritual picture. Ballu guided us through the chaotic, traditional narrow alleys and markets—something we wouldn't have dared to do alone. He even arranged visits inside local homes for essential oil and Shawl production workshops which was a unique highlight. The day ended perfectly by the river. We went on a boat ride, witnessed the cremation rituals at the ghats and watched the Ganga Aarti. Ballu’s passion, knowledge and perfect navigation of the city made this an unforgettable trip.   Sunny and Sonu were excellent. He is very knowledgeable about Hindu traditions, the history of the ghats, and the spiritual significance of the city. He guided us through both the busy streets and the quieter moments with great care and professionalism. The tour was well-structured and informative.   Arvind our guide was excellent and the driver was excellent. It was fascinating but a very long day. It was a very good experience. It is important to have a trustworthy driver and our driver made us feel safe under very unsafe driving conditions. The boat trip was very interesting. We were able to see the Golden Temple. Sarnath was very interesting. The Aarti ceremony was quite long and we left early because we were jet lagged.

  Sunny gave us a fantastic 1 day Varanasi tour! He is extremely genuine and warm, which made the full day very enjoyable :). He was great with answering any questions we had and flexible with tour stops. Very knowledgeable, accommodating guide who wanted to give us an authentic local experience. We especially enjoyed the food stops and learning about local foods.
