  A complete one-day experience of Varanasi's must-see attractions. Our English guide was Ballu, a father of three. He slowed down his English to accommodate our limited fluency and patiently translated and explained things, adding many wonderful memories to our trip. On our tour day, February 15, 2026, happened to be the annual Shiva festival, and we happened upon a local parade and celebration. Ballu was always willing to take the time to let us stop and watch, showing his dedication. He also kindly took photos for us, capturing beautiful pictures to preserve our memories of Varanasi's old city.   Arvind was amazing. He allowed us to have the full experience of Varanasi, sharing great places to eat and showing us all the sites of Varanasi. We missed our plane and he adjusted the schedule accordingly. He kept us safe and was a wealth of knowledge. He answered all our questions and explained all the procedures and expectations at each temple.

  Great day on this trip with Zishan, we saw lots of sights which made the day feel fulfilling and interesting! I particularly liked the boat trip and seeing the sights of Sarnath a sacred Buddhist site.

  Arvind was a super host for our extravaganza around Varanasi. He had a wealth of knowledge about the sites we visited and shone a light on the religions we covered.   This tour was an efficient way to see Varanasi in one day. The tour is orchestrated with breaks so it doesn’t feel rushed. We enjoyed all the sites and our guide Arvind was well organized, always on time and has a good depth of knowledge. He secured excellent seats for the Ganga Aarti, it was a benefit to go early and watch the setup and spreading of the flowers. He took us to the temple at the University and that entire area is worth a visit, it was great to see the sprawling campus and understand the historical details. We enjoyed a leisurely visit to Sarnath with its historical ruins, stupas land the iconic Ashoka Pillar, we were given time on our own to absorb the essence of this the Buddhist pilgrimage site and listen to the students chanting. We visited the Banarsi Weavers workshops; it was treat to learn about the techniques and see the different types of looms being used. However, the textile trader that the Arvind took us to see was a swindler, selling the exact same items that can be found all over town for 10 times the going price, refusing to bargain and acting insulted. Beware and don’t purchase from these dealer or the Rudraksha bead dealers; who sold us dyed beads instead of authentic ones and it stained our clothing black, they were garbage. Remain diligent and aware if you decide to shop because the guide cannot control the exploitation by greedy and unmindful shop keepers. I have traveled all over India for work and I have never seen the dishonesty we experienced with the Varanasi businessmen and their unethical practices. If you feel something is wrong then just leave the shop immediately.
