Phenomenal trip, guide and driver were exceptional. We ate the river prawns for lunch and also stopped for boat noodles which we highly recommend. Fascinating history and beautiful ruins. Don't miss this trip.

We have no hesitation in giving this tour a five star rating - in fact if we could give it 6 stars we would! Kung (our guide and driver) was outstanding. Her communication skills, before, during and after, set her above any of the numerous guides we have experienced on our extensive travels. Her English is exceptional and her knowledge of and enthusiasm for Thailand’s history and religion certainly added to our enjoyment of what already promised to be an interesting day. In addition to the visits listed on the itinerary, she added gems of her own including a visit to a local market and opportunities to sample Thai food specialities from local producers. Her suggested restaurant for lunch - U-Khao - turned out to be Michelin listed. The food was superb! From our pick up from our hotel in the morning to our drop off in the evening this was an excellent day and we learned so much. We’ve visited Thailand many times and each time have said that we really should visit Ayutthaya. Our advice? Book this trip, you won’t be disappointed, and hope that you get Kung as your guide.

Polly was the absolute best tour guide we could have picked for a full day private tour guide experience to Ayutthaya. Here's why: 1) Great communication starting with the booking details and throughout the tour itself. 2) Had all the details sorted out and was very organized, and even brought us snacks and water! 3) Incredible knowledge and passion for sharing Thai culture and history and information about Thai-style Buddhism. 4) SUPER caring and kind - Polly went out of her way to help us with a cell phone issue we encountered (that had nothing to do with the tour) - we can't thank her enough for this <3 She also made sure we were comfortable and customized the private tour experience for us. 5) Took lots of pictures throughout the tour - some of which are my favorites from my whole vacation. 6) Made us feel like we were seeing added cool stuff - some of the little tucked away details and spots not all tour guides bring people to. 7) Provided opportunities for us to respectfully participate in several little activities at the temples. 8) Comfy private car and driver. I assumed we'd just be in a taxi, but we actually had a driver for the day. 9) Prepared with digital maps, illustrations, and photographs to enhance our knowledge as she taught us about aspects of Thai history and culture. 10) Very professional. The day was-well-planned and she was really prepared down the every detail. When I go back to Thailand, I will 100% book another tour with Polly. She gets our highest recommendation - our time with her was one of the highlights of an amazing trip to Thailand.

We had a great time being shown around the ancient City of Ayutthaya by Moddy, she was informative, very knowledgable and gave us several useful tips for our stay in Bangkok. I would recommend Moddy and this day trip to anyone.

Driver was excellent and very safe. Piyaporn was a charming guide, full of information and taking many photos of us at good viewpoints. Lunch was delicious.

Polly was an exceptional guide and very knowledgeable . Started on time and she knew where to avoid the crowds and get the most out of the day. Answered all our questions and explained the history and culture both of ancient and modern Thailand. Took many excellent photos and a great reminder of the day .

Tony was an amazing tour guide !!!! He is very knowledgeable about Thailand history and culture and such a nice kind person. He was able to customize our tour past our expectations, and even surprised us with a boat ride. Highly highly recommend picking Tony as your local to show you the best time in Thailand !!!

We had a beautiful day with Sudarat. Visiting the Temple and ruins in Attutaya provided a great view into life in Thailand, past and present. From feeding the fish and learning about the blend of religious observances in the temples to an utterly delicious lunch on the river, we could not have asked for a better day. She and our driver took care of everything so we could just take in all the sights and smells. Our children also really enjoyed the whole day, finding something at each sight to enjoy. Out of 10, this trip was an 11!

We had a wonderful day with Sudarat visiting the Ayuthaya Historical Park. We chose a 7.30am start which worked so well! The car was very comfy, and Sudurat gave us heaps of information and answered hundreds of questions with a smile on her face all day. The tour is well balanced, plenty to do but not rushed. We had lunch at a lovely reasonably priced seafood restaurant by the river. I really enjoyed the boat ride on the river, as well as learning a lot more about Thai culture, history and Buddhism. It was really lovely to see lots of Thai locals out and about in the holiday season - dressing up in their traditional cosutumes for photos, and causing traffic jams waiting for special roti! Thanks Sudarat for a great day.
