Participants not only enjoy a curated beer tasting, selecting a brew to infuse into their waffle batter, but also engage in a personalized waffle baking class. The fusion of beer and waffle creation, coupled with expert guidance, offers a distinctive culinary adventure.
The finale, a self-indulgent feast of freshly baked Brussels waffles paired with chosen toppings and beer, ensures a memorable and delicious experience. The workshop is in English as people from all over the world participate. Our hosts can translate some parts if necessary.

1) Belgian Beer Tasting: We’ll kick off the experience with a delightful beer tasting session. You’ll sample three different varieties of Belgian beer, accompanied by intriguing background information about each selection. From these, you’ll choose one beer to incorporate into your waffle batter. 2) Belgian/Brussels Waffle Baking Class: Next, you’ll partner up at a cooking station (two people per station) to create your own waffle batter using the beer you selected. Our team will guide you step by step through the waffle-making process, ensuring you master the art of crafting the perfect batter. 3) Food Pairing and Tasting: Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to bake your own Brussels waffles and enjoy them with the perfect toppings, along with the beer you chose earlier in the session. Feel free to bake and savor as many waffles as you like! To top it all off, you’ll receive the recipe so you can recreate this delicious experience at home.

5.00We absolutely loved this experience. If you enjoy food-related activities when traveling, this one is definitely worth it. The workshop is located right in central Brussels, so it’s very convenient to add to your itinerary. The space itself is cozy and welcoming, which immediately sets a good tone for the class. Our instructor was fantastic — enthusiastic, patient, and clearly passionate about Belgian food and beer. The beer tasting portion was really informative but still very approachable, even for beginners. The waffle-making part was the highlight. We learned how to prepare the batter, use the waffle irons, and even got some tips about traditional Belgian waffles versus what you might find elsewhere. By the end we were full, happy, and felt like we had learned something new. It’s a great mix of tasting, cooking, and socializing. Would definitely recommend this workshop for couples, friends, or even solo travelers looking for a fun group activity.

5.00Location easy to find. The set up was done in advance and had everything needed. We learned about three types of beer with healthy pours then proceeded to make our own waffle batter with a beer of our choice (an ingredient). Our group was a lot of fun… Australia, Germany, Japan, Italy, USA… the waffles were delicious and plentiful. A perfect way to kick off a weekend in Brussels.

5.00Super fun family experience. The teacher spoke really well and very easily understandable English, so we could constantly follow up. We learned how to bake good waffles, a little about Belgian beer and a little about Belgian culture and history. Do not plan to go out and eat right afterwards. You're propset. We even got waffles with us home to the apartment, so we had for the next day too.

5.00My sister and I had a great time. Who would’ve known beer goes with waffles so seamlessly? Ingrid gave us background about each of the beers we tasted and also provided travelling advice when asked. We even arrived an early and Ingrid let us in from the cold and gave us a warm cup of coffee. The class was small (6 people including us) and provided a fun intimate experience.
