Opened on the 6th of September 2021, Odysseo is the first oceanarium in Mauritius. Spanning over 5,500 m2, our aquarium contains 45 tanks that hold a total of 2 million liters of water, and are home to 3,500 aquatic animals.
Odysseo Mauritius is a place of discovery, education, and awareness.
Our purpose is not only to amaze our visitors but also to awaken their curiosity and their desire to learn more. We are all citizens of the ocean and it becomes essential to explain that the ocean has a major role in the great equilibrium of our planet and a huge potential, which is important in our daily life if we know how to protect it.

Odysseo Oceanarium Mauritius
The Oceanarium showcases 45 habitats of different sizes and shapes, with a total capacity of 2,000 m3 of water (1,500 m3 being in the main aquarium). Visitors will encounter with some 200 species (3,500 specimens at the openings) of the Indian Ocean.

5.00I had an amazing experience at Odysseo Aquarium, and I especially want to commend Megna. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, making our visit even more enjoyable. Her knowledge and warm attitude really made the experience memorable. Highly recommend visiting and asking for her guidance!

5.00Extraordinary experience for a mountain and snow girl like me! I stayed there 4 hours, total immersion! Very educational and participatory, games, fun experiences and incredible aquarium full of fish. Very educational also for measures to protect wildlife, corals and endangered species, including imported species that multiply and eventually invade local species!

4.00Interesting, educational experience if a little pricey considering the size. Well put together information and presentation of exhibits that we took around 1-1.5 hours to view. Plenty of parking. Disappointing gift shop - should have a useful educational selection. Good for children with some outside space & a refreshment stand. Great for a rainy day. Not far from shops & restaurants in the Caudan Waterfront.

4.00All was great, it is my maybe 6th visit since it opened, always with the kids. It is mostly for the kids, not adults. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT: the previous fast-food owner left and the new one i..absolutely useless. How can we fail at making fries? The previous one was the only "entertainment" for me, as i grew tired of the aquarium. The food was great previously. Please care/entertain for the adults as well.. at least with the food
