Tikal

Visit one of the largest and most important Mayan places in Central America. Once we are in the Park let your imagination fly, we'll enter a mysterious world where there are more than 3000 structures and only 30% of them are discovered. We'll tell you how the Mayans lived as we'll pass through the Palaces of the Mayan Aristocracy, we'll teach you what their values were, their structure, their religion. We'll arrive at the Central Park where you'll get to know the spectacular Pyramid symbol of Guatemala: The Great Jaguar and you'll be able to go up to the Temple of the Masks: The Temple 2. Then we'll continue our journey in El Mundo Perdido to understand where the City started and the calculation accuracy of the ancient civilization. But it does not end here!!! We'll finish the tour climbing one of the highest pyramids in the world: Temple IV, with a height of 64 meters, which has been used as a stage for several films, one of them the first Star Wars movie of 1977, as well as the eleventh James Bond movie of 1979. After 3 to 4 hours of tour we'll end up delighting with typical Guatemalan food in the best restaurant of the Park. Discover the history of the Mayans and delve into their culture where science, mathematics, wars, arranged marriages between families, religious sacrifices and their impressive capacity to build make us understand how this civilization was one of the most important the history of mankind.

We booked the Tikal tour from Flores and were very lucky: We were the only guests and thus had a private tour with Roel. Tikal was incredibly impressive, and Roel made the tour really outstanding. He has a lot of knowledge about the history of the Maya and especially about Tikal and was able to explain everything excitingly, understandably and with a lot of passion. The tour was very insightful and interesting. Overall, a great experience that we can absolutely recommend!

I booked this for a group of 4 the night before the tour over the phone and it was very easy. Nathanael was an excellent tour guide. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave the main tour in Spanish and translated to English for me. I think the overall value for this tour is outstanding. We were picked up from the lobby of the Don Cenobio Hostal, stopped for a short bathroom and gift shop break (also has complimentary tea/coffee with an exhibit), then had a well organized visit to Tikal. The timing of everything was perfect and we did not feel rushed. Lunch at the end was fantastic! Overall, I’m extremely happy I booked this trip for me and my family. Don’t think- just book it and you will be glad you did! 😃

This was an amazing tour of the natural beauty of Tikal and the history of the Mayan people. Highly recommend Nate as your guide. He is as passionate about the history as he is the conservation of the rainforest. Pickup and drop off was very timely despite my hotel being in a tricky area.

Travelled with Tikal Go from Flores to Tikal. Had a great time. The Mayan Ruins were amazing and our guide Omar was the best. He was very informative and answered any questions we asked.Could not have had a better guide. This tour gives you a great overview of Tikal and its history. The lunch included with the tour was very tasty. Well worth the trip!

Had an amazing journey through Tikal with our tour guide Omar. Very easy and pleasant pick up from the Flores airport. Omar was a wealth of information and catered our tour to history and the many birds of Tikal National Park. We finished the tour with a delicious lunch in the park. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and will probably return in the future to this beautiful place.

This is an incredible site and a must do activity in Guatemala. Our guide Nate was super knowledgeable about Mayan history as well as the flora and fauna of the area. He gave us time on our own to adventure around and answered any questions that came up! Really enjoyed spending the day in this beautiful city.

The pickup was on time, the ride was smooth, the views were amazing, and the time to walk around and take pictures was more than enough to get the right pictures. Nathaniel was our tour guide and he was awesome, he was spotting animals in the brush and trees, very polite, and had a wealth of knowledge about the history and current political and economical climate in Guatemala. Answered all of my questions, easily the best tour guide I’ve ever had in all of my travels.
