Tikal National Park
Tikal National Park is the most excavated archaeological site in Central America and one of the most excavated (archaeological) sites in the world. We expect to see many temples and clim them. ITINERARY 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. – We’ll meet you and pick you up at the airport or at your hotel in Flores or El Remate, etc. 8.30 a.m. – Arrive at Tikal National Park and begin our walk through the park visiting the most impressive sites. 1:30 p.m. – Tour ends at the parking lot and we take you to Have Lunch!. 2:30 p.m. - Lunch ends and we drive to Flores to have a walk by yourself. 5:00 p.m. – Arrive back in Flores to drop you off. 5.00We booked this tour for 2 people a few days before we arrived in Flores and were extremely lucky to get Elmer as our guide. He picked us up at 9AM and we returned at around 530PM. He advised us as to how to buy our entrance tickets online and we skipped a 1-hour queue at the park entrance right off. Having done countless tours all over the world in every continent, I can honestly say that Elmer is simply an astounding individual and one of the best guides we've ever encountered. Knowledgeable in not only the history of Tikal, but also flora and fauna of this national park, geology and geography of Guatemala in general as well as a broad wealth of information on his country's current government and its economic and fiscal standing. His enthusiasm for his work was very evident we felt like we were old friends at the end of the day. He guided us through less visited parts of the park and timed our route to avoid the busiest times for the sites. Added bonus: he was a great photographer and we came away with some incredible pictures. The included lunch was delicious and overall, it was a perfectly timed whole day excursion. We got back to Flores in time to take a quick shower and catch our ride to the airport.

5.00We greatly enjoyed our day. Byron shared lots of interesting information about the monuments and about ancient Mayan culture. The archeological site is stunning. Anibal drove us safely and the lunch was a treat. We highly recommend this tour.

5.00A unique experience. Elmer the guide and Hannibal the driver picked us up at the airport. Super professionals and Elmer very friendly and knowledgeable. They accommodated the trip according to our interests. We went to breakfast by Lake Peten Itza very beautiful. Then we went to the Tikal and they provided us with water, umbrella, repellents and everything we could need. At the end they took us to lunch super delicious and before taking us back to the airport we took a little tour of Flores Island and ate a delicious cheesecake in Delirio. 100% recommended

5.00This tour was very well done. It was my favorite tour I had in Guatemala. Elmer was so knowledgeable about Tikal, the Mayan civilization, and Guatemalan history. It was 100% worth the price of the tour. Elmer was also very kind. I highly recommend!

5.00Elmer did a great job showing us Tikal and also the wildlife we wanted to see! He made sure we were comfortable and well taken care off from start to finish. Tikal was amazing, and so was Elmer. He also recommended great restaurants and boat tours in Flores.

5.00Fantastic!!! We were picked up at the airport for the excursion to Tikal. First we stopped for breakfast and continued to Tikal. Great knowledge of the archaeological area and the passion for the subject was noticeable. The vehicle very comfortable and new. I definitely recommend it. Worth it.

He is extremely knowledgeable and knew the site inside out so that we could take shortcuts or avoid big groups, and he could lead us to pathways that were less strenuous than others. He integrated what we were seeing with interesting history and was able to answer all of our questions. He is also very personable and we had a really lovely day.
