Spend the morning at Hadrian’s Villa, discovering the emperor’s amazing country residence and its interesting architectural features. You will see an artificial pool and grotto, the Canopus and Serapeum, and many other Greek and Egyptian influences which make this place so unique.

Your expert guide will regale you with the history of the extensive ruins which once served as the Emperor Hadrian’s country residence and then principal seat of power during his last years of reign. In the archaeological complex you will find temples, baths and barracks and the impressive Canopus and Serapeum.
Villa d'Este
Before seeing the Villa d’Este, you will savor a traditional lunch at one of Tivoli’s charming restaurants. Afterwards, once inside the stunning villa, you will be surrounded by amazing frescoes and architecture overlooking the many superb fountains of the manicured formal gardens which you will then explore with your guide.

5.00Wonderful experience. Marsha was our guide. She gave us all detailed information about everything. Fluently English speaking person and so professional. Showed us all good picture points and gave us enough time to take pictures.

5.00Great one day solo trip just outside if Rome. The tour guide was knowledgable and careful to do a headcount each time we reunited after free time in a location. Overall enjoyed the mix of structured time and learning from the tour guide and time to explore freely. The two locations are not near one another so I appreciate having the ease of mind to pay and just enjoy my time.

5.00We picked this tour simply to have something to do one of our days of our holiday in Rome. I'm so glad we did! This was an amazing tour. The information on Hadrian and his amazing villa, along with the surprising Villa D'Esta (it looks like almost nothing from the entrance) kept us entranced. The luncheon provided was great as well!

5.00Excellent tour, Marsha was a terrific guide. Was wonderful to escape the crowds of Rome for the day. We left by bus at 9:30 and returned at 4:30. First stop was Hadrians which was very interesting , then free time (didn’t take the lunch option), afternoon was spent at Villa D’Este, the villa is nice but the garden and fountains were amazing. 40 minutes later we were back in Rome. Highly recommend A++++

4.00Too much information/walking for one day. Villa Adriana on day 1 and Villa d’Este on day 2 better. Very disappointing that fountains not working.

2.00Tour guide was good. Sights definitely worth seeing. However, we booked a month ahead of time and were given the option to cancel within 24 hours of the tour. As soon as that 24 hour window began we got a message from the tour company that the fountains were down for maintenance and had been down since the 6th of October. Our tour was the 22nd. Seemed very dishonest. Also we paid for the lunch. Don’t waste your money. Worst meal we’ve had in Italy.

1.00Unfortunately I could not participate in the trip because, less than 24 hours as required by the conditions, I had to cancel it because my son on the afternoon of the 17th was at the p.s. for a bad fall and was discharged on the 18th. Despite the documentation produced and my request for a partial refund or a voucher for another trip, the company did not meet me even for the emergency occurred. In my opinion they should review the conditions at least in these cases perhaps with a lower percentage of 100 % as a penalty

5.00Marcia was a very informative and kind guide. We chose the lunch option and the meal included red wine, salad, pasta and a meat dish. As a vegetarian, they were very accommodating to dietary needs. We were given times to meet up and she worked very hard to stay on schedule (some adults in the group made that a little challenging 🫠).
