Mana and Naoko offered us the most wonderful cycling tour through Tokyo — visiting the Perfect Days toilets by Wim Wenders. We did the tour on our very last day in Japan, and it could not have been more perfect way to end our trip. They went far beyond anything we could have expected: warm, attentive, and full of genuine hospitality. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared, including a beautiful bento box picnic in the park. It was one of those rare experiences that feel both personal and profound — the kind you never forget. We are deeply grateful to Mana and Naoko for sharing their time, kindness, and passion for Tokyo with us. Highly, highly recommended!

We had a great experience that gave an opportunity to quickly explore the Tokyo history and culture. We used this as a start point for further exploration in subsequent days while in Tokyo. Our guide, Naoko, was well organised and knowledgeable. We had a great day with her.

I never thought I’d be riding a bike in Tokyo! I’m so glad I did this tour which had been recommended by friends. Our expert and lovely guide Naoko took us along beautiful green streets, down quiet winding lanes, and through fancy parts of Tokyo we may not have seen otherwise. A yummy take-out lunch in a serene garden setting was a bonus. We felt perfectly relaxed following Naoko without needing to think about which way to go. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys exploring by bike. Thank you Naoko for a fantastic day!

A great way to see around the city in a relatively short space of time. Lily and Tomo were lovely, very friendly and looked after us really well. The bikes were in good condition and the cycling was not too difficult, fairly relaxed pace and lots of stops. Would recommend.

Tokyo has amazing cycling infrastructure, take advantage of it! Unforgettable experience from a reputable company. Did a tour with them my second day in Japan, I enjoyed it so much I’ve been on five bike tours, three of which were in Tokyo all booked with them. Full day usually goes from 9am to 3:30pm, half-day was 8am to 12 noon although that was earlier than usual due to sumo wrestlers’ practice schedule. I went with routes A, B, and Sumo Practice - all were at a chill pace, it won’t feel like exercise. I’d highly recommend A for a first-timer. Staff/tour guides were friendly and know their city very well. The staff to cyclist ratio was pretty good, and they often take the paths with no or minimal car traffic. It’s amazing not having to plan your day and to just follow where they take you! Easily the best way to explore and sightsee Tokyo, my favorite spots were the ones that don’t make it to social media as they’re more for locals than they are for tourists. Price was 15,000 JPY and they take cash or credit card (in my experience both AmEx and Visa worked). Cars are too fast, walking is too slow, subway is buried underground, therefore cycling is the best way to discover Tokyo! Of the things I’ve done in my 22 day Japan trip, this is easily among my favorites.

This is a tour group that I've returned to several times now, and one I keep recommended. Exploring Tokyo by bicycle is a joy, and the guides at Tokyo Great Tours make it a fun and memorable time to discover this wonderful city. This time I joined on Route E, winding through hills and backstreets. The climbs were definitely a challenge, but the pacing made them manageable - and reward of a hot lunch and a roller-coaster ride down the other side made it all the more worthwhile. And along the way we were treated to a side of Tokyo you might otherwise miss. I can't wait for the next one!

We had the best day cycling through Tokyo with Lily and Tomo! They were so friendly and their information was exactly what we needed. Our lunch was fabulous, Oishi! The bikes and helmets were in great condition! We have done a number of bike tours around the world and this is the best we have experienced! A must do in Tokyo!

We did a 6-hour cycling tour (Tour A) with Yukiko and Mirei, and it was such a wonderful experience! We loved the route and all its highlights, as well as the history lessons they shared along the way. Both Yukiko and Mirei were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the day. We would 100% recommend this tour. Thank you for such a great day!

This tour was incredible. Nick was a great tour guide. We saw so many sights and really appreciated the information he gave us along the way. The photos he took of us and shared with us later were fabulous. The tour covers around 17km which is almost all flat and very easy to follow Nick. We never felt stressed cycling on roads, but the majority was on quiet side roads or through parks. I definitely recommend the tour (we did the Route L half day tours) and look forward to doing more cycling tours with Tokyo Great Cycling tours in future
