  It was a relaxing and informative ride with Takashi n Ohsuke. We did Tour K. They looked after us very well and we felt comfortable and safe cycling in the back streets of Tokyo. Looking forward to doing a different route with them on our next visit. The highlight was visiting the Toyosu Market and interacting with the tuna wholesaler. We ended up buying some fresh raw tuna from him to eat back at Takashi's bike shop.

  Some years ago during my first visit to Japan, I booked an all-day tour with Tokyo Great Cycling Tour. I had such a wonderful and memorable experience that I decided to book another tour for a different route on my recent return visit to Tokyo and was just as impressed as I was the first time around. Being able to attend sumo practice was an awesome experience. Our tour guide, Lily, was very knowledgeable and had a contagious enthusiasm for the sport as well as its athletes, history, and cultural significance. We also did some bike riding to a few key locations in town, which was a great memory in itself. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who's fortunate to have the opportunity.

  Amazing experience with Takashi and Yukikio of Tokyo Great Cycling Tours! We did the 6 hour tour through the old and new fish markets. Tokyo Bay, Zozoji Temple and the Imperial palace. We chose ebikes since we were flying in the night before. Spectacular views of the water, Rainbow and other bridges, the lovely parkland surrounding the Toyosu cycing areas ( the thousands of tulips were unexpected and glorious). We had a private visit to the first floor of the fish market, where we spoke with a buyer about how he chooses the fish he purchases for clients. Lunch was a hanami picnic on the beach of Tokyo Bay. Beautiful sakura!

  Wonderful tour! Communication with the company was easy, our guide was really nice and very knowledgeable about Sumo and other aspects of Japan’s history and culture. We not only got to watch a real sumo morning practice, but we learned about each athlete and the overall culture while we watched. The rest of the bike ride and tour were nice as well. Highly recommend!

  Four of us booked the Tokyo toilet tour and it was amazing! Takashi, our guide, did a great job leading us through the city and providing interesting information on each stop. Communication was easy and clear, and the company was able to accommodate a last minute change on our side. Truly one of the highlights of our trip. Can't recommend enough.

  It was a pleasant day and we learned a lot from Japanese customs and lifestyle. A lot seen of non-touristy neighborhoods, exactly what we wanted to experience. The nice weather also helped and the picnic with local sushi was delicious. Our guide Nick has cycled us excellently through Tokyo!

  A wonderful experience and a great way to see a sprawling city like Tokyo. Our guide Takashi-san was amazing and gave great commentary. Unfortunate for us we didn’t have enough time to do another one of his tours or we would!

  Our tour guide Takashi was very good. He gave us snippets of Tokyo history in 5” And the 3 main religions in Japan in 3”. He was always looking out for all of us, frequently turning his head to make sure we were keeping up.

  Route F was an amazing opportunity to experience the quiet residential areas of Tokyo, which were very different from the tourist-packed areas like Shibuya. The wide openness of the Arakawa River and the quiet serernity of the Nakagawa River were the highlights of this route, along with a few unexpected gems that I won't spoil here. Our guide, Takashi, was organized, entertaining, helpful and attentive to our needs. He make sure we took regular breaks to rest, hydrate and refule on snacks. He explained the exhibits to us at the local museums, and make sure we knew what to do at the local shrines. After the tour, we had a good, long chat over snacks and drinks, where Takashi provided more tips on how to get the most out of our travels in Japan.

  This is my third trip with TGT. Every time has been a great experience. The guiding is excellent and they take good care of you. No matter if it is on the water or on a bike, they will make you feel very secure.
