Bike around Tokyo like a local as you explore the city’s highlights on this 6.5-hour/17miles(27km) tour. In a small group of no more than five, explore the city's bustling main streets, quiet backstreets, snaking alleys, and attractive hidden paths. Admire the Meiji-jingu shrine, Zōjō-ji temple, and Aoyama cemetery, as well as more modern landmarks including Roppongi Hills and the designer shops of Ginza. After a riverside lunch (own expense) conclude your tour at the top of a skyscraper.

Rider height must be between 4ft 1in and 6ft 3in (125cm - 190cm) in order ensure proper bike fit
A bike you ride is a cross city bike with a flat handle bar, NOT a cruiser bike with a high riser handle bar
Riders should dress comfortably and have a backpack or messenger bag
Attractions may be omitted or substituted due to operational reasons
In case of bad weather(Rain, Heatwave, etc), cycling may be canceled and full refunds will be issued
The guide will send you an email if the tour has been canceled by 7am of the morning of the tour
You will buy your lunch boxes at a local grocery store and put it in your backpack. Then, you will eat it on the waterfront which is 25min away.

In the early morning, meet your local guide in a centrally located meeting spot. Strap on your helmet, jump on your bicycle, and begin your 6.5-hour tour of Tokyo. Starting among the tall skyscrapers of Shinjuku, ride at a relaxed pace through backstreets to see a small shrine in a residential area, a great example of Tokyo's contrasting modern and traditional atmospheres. Then, head over to Meiji-jingu, the city’s most famous Shinto religious site, through Yoyogi Park where cherry blossoms bloom in the spring. Take your time to walk around the peaceful gardens that surround the shrine with your guide. Pedal your way to Japan’s Roppongi Hills entertainment complex through the main street of Omotesando — one of the most sophisticated shopping areas in all of Japan — and then take a backstreet to the Aoyama cemetery, which looks and feels like Tokyo 100 years ago. Next, stop at a local supermarket to buy a bento box for lunch, just like local at your own expense. Then, visit Zōjō-ji temple where Tokyo Tower can be seen just behind. Enjoy lunch on the waterfront just beside the Rainbow Bridge with panoramic views of the Tokyo skyline including the Aqua City Odaiba complex. After lunch, bike through the main and back streets of Ginza. Check out this exclusive shopping district then cycle your way to the Imperial Palace, home to a traditional Japanese garden, tea pavilion, stone walls, and a moat. Ride through the two outer gates of the castle, then follow along some of the large moat. Head back to Shinjuku and to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Ascend 48 floors in a high-speed elevator and enjoy the 360-degree view of Tokyo, including the Tokyo Skytree, and even Mt. Fuji on a clear day. Its then just a 5-minute ride back to the original meeting point where your tour concludes.

5.00Great tour. I lead bike and kayak trips back home, and so I know a good tour when I experience one! Gaki has selected a great route and sights. The riding is active but isn't too challenging - few hills, and lots of chances for stops, though cycling in Tokyo is very different than where I live due to the scarcity of bike lanes. I did this tour on my second day in Japan and it was a great introduction to Tokyo. Definitely recommended.

5.00We had a great time on our bike tour! It was the perfect size to talk to everyone and the guide. We appreciated the variety of sites we stopped at. The route was a good pace and distance - it does include riding in traffic so anyone who takes the tour should be comfortable with that.

5.00Myself my husband and 15 year old daughter really enjoyed this tour. Our friends recommended this and we were not disappointed. It was fun, informative and Gazu was such a great guide and lovely person. We were able to follow him with ease and enjoy seeing Tokyo in a way we would not have otherwise. Highly recommend and well worth the price.

5.00I was looking for something to do in Tokyo that kept 3 teenagers happy and active while still seeing the sights of Tokyo. Nailed it!! Gaku is such a lovely tour guide and had us riding through back streets, parks, busy roads and not so busy roads. We covered 27 kms and absolutely loved it. A huge highlight is going up to the observation tower at the end and seeing how much of Tokyo you’ve actually covered. Highly recommend doing this.

5.00This is my second try; I first did it in the summer, a few years ago, and this time in winter. Both trips are truly amazing and enjoyable. My gratitude to Mr. Gaku for his professionalism and for taking good care of me during the entire trip. If you enjoy cycling, this is undoubtedly one of the best activities to explore Tokyo. It is safe, and the pace is manageable (I'm 48), just nice for anyone to enjoy the scenery along the way. Thank you, Mr. Gaku.

5.00Our family had an awesome day with Gaku biking around central Tokyo. We highly recommend this to anyone who is keen to see the inner city from a bike. Gaku has planned meticulously and takes you to a variety of most interesting places, not what we’d usually find as tourists.

5.00Had a great time touring the city. Gaku is very knowledgeable and a great guy. Definitely recommend, but being comfortable riding in traffic is a must. The observation deck at the end of the ride is a great view of the entire city and you can see all the places you visited.
