Mak was very informative and knowledgeable about Japanese history and culture, and specifically regarding events that influenced the evolution of Shinjuku. May, our guide, was an exceptional. She provided a wealth of knowledge about the area, historial background and culture. She has a pleasent personality and interacted with each and everyone of the members of the group. She was helpful with those with special dietary requirements and even provided help to us in guilding us back to the train that we needed to catch for our return to our hotel. The food was good and there was plenty of it to go around. A thoroughy enjoyable evening in the heart of Tokyo and the Ginza district. We highly recommend it to those visiting Tokyo for an evening adventure for food, adventure and meeting thoses new to Japan.

We really enjoyed the food tour! We were a group of eight adults, we had a great guide: Kei. At first I was a little apprehensive because he was not a local Japanese, but as the evening progressed, it was clear that he had been in Japan for a while and truly immerse himself in the language, food, and culture. He was a great guide! He didn’t just bring us to the four restaurants, he added in different fun tourist stops like the giant 3-D cat, Godzilla on top of the building, the red light district. He was very attentive and made sure everybody had food they liked to eat including any dietary restrictions or preferences. He sent us food recommendations after the tour. I would highly recommend this food tour and be super happy if you get Kei as Your Guide

Everything tasted great! May, our tour guide, explained every dish with detail. My favorite plate was the fried seaweed. Highly recommend if you’re new to Tokyo!

I had a great time on the Shinjuku food tour with May! She was an excellent guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun and easy. The food was fantastic, and May did a great job explaining everything and making me feel comfortable throughout. Highly recommend this tour, especially with May as your guide!

The food and information was excellent. Sabina was incredibly knowledgeable and super attentive and friendly about all the cuisine. We were a larger group, but she made sure everyone was taken care of.
