This experience was awful. The owner/MC was rude to the employees from the beginning and that was really unfortunate to witness. The whole thing is set up for tourists and is more of a show than an actual sumo match or education. The whole show feels cheap and a total waste of time and money. I read in other reviews that it was run by a foreigner and that’s absolutely true and evident. The food was also mediocre. They sell it as a two hour experience, but only about 3 mins of a sumo “fight”

It was strictly a show and did not include any actual competitive sumo wrestling. But it was a decent show with two retired sumo wrestlers giving demonstrations. The food was very good and there was plenty of it.

Booked this sumo experience on Viator and would recommend it as a family fun introduction to sumo wrestling while supporting ex pro sumo wrestlers. The included meal is average and is all you can eat chicken. The first drink is free! The programming includes a charismatic English speaking MC, Geisha show, sumo education and demonstration, and volunteers challenging the sumo wrestlers. Free photo opportunity and gift bag after. The sumo wrestlers are impressive and really funny, friendly guys. Thanks for showing us your sport!

It was such a fun activity to attend! Very entertaining show of the sumo wrestlers as well as the geisha dancing. Food was all you can and delish! The portion was huge and I can only finish one portion haha. This was an informative activity as well, showcasing, of course, the sumo wrestlers. I love that they were all interactive and engaging with the audiences. Highly recommended! I would absolutely take family and friends to go again!
