5.00Touring Tsukiji Outer Market and a nearby temple and shrine with Risa was one of the highlights of our trip! We learned so much - about Buddhist and Shinto rituals - and of course food! We love visiting food markets wherever we travel and totally recommend going with Risa so you don’t miss things that you might otherwise miss without the insights of a local! We tried all kinds of food and took our favourites back to enjoy with a sake tasting at their affiliated bar in one of the little alleys right off the market - the perfect place to enjoy your delicious finds away from the bustle of the market streets. So nice to hang with you Risa and thanks for the excellent tips on where to eat in Niseko! See you next time!

5.00The find food with locals tour was an absolute highlight of my time in Tokyo. I have wanted to visit the famous Tsukiji Market ever since I have known of its existence. However, some of my friends had warned me before going about how crowded it can be and how somethings have been known to priced for tourists. When I discovered this tour something that stuck out was that it offered a true opportunity to eat! On the day of, our local tour guide talked to us about what kinds of things we wanted to see and eat then expertly steered us through to bustling market. Once we had gathered up the items we desired (as well as some recommendations from our guide) we headed to the 38 Kiosk Bar. This little stall nestled inside an inconspicuous alley in the market was the perfect place to escape the shoulder to shoulder crowds and chow down on our delicious food. The bartender was extremely friendly and recommended us some Sake to drink with our meal. To anyone who wants to go to Tsukiji for the purpose of learning about the area, eating great food, and trying some great drinks, I highly recommend this tour!

5.00My partner and I had an amazing time exploring the outer markets of Tsukiji. Risa, our guide, gave great insight into the fare and wares of the neighborhood, while also providing mini-history lessons to enrich our whole travel experience. Recommend this walking tour without reservation for novice travelers all the way to seasoned explorers.

5.00I went with my girlfriend to explore Tsukiji but we wanted to do something more local. This was definitely the right thing to do. Was so much fun! our guide took us around the market and explained everything, while buying snacks for later. After that we went to this really cool little bar in a covered alleyway where we could eat all the snacks we bought and have a drink. We made friends with a couple of Japanese people who were sitting next to us. I can only highly recommend this!

5.00I can't recommend this tour enough! Our guide, Risa, went above and beyond by not just showing us the best spots at the market, but also taking us to hidden temples and shrines. She shared some fantastic local insights along the way. The kids really enjoyed learning the culture! One of the best moments was having lunch and drinks at 38KIOSK, where we got to sample fresh market food and enjoy a great time with the locals, making it a memorable family experience!

5.00I’m so happy we chose to do this tour ! It was such a cool experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. My favorite part was spending time at the cozy local venue where we ended the tour, there we could relax and enjoy all the delicious food we picked up at the market ! It was such a great atmosphere, sharing drinks with locals while eating fresh seafood made it extra special ! Our guide, Risa, was fantastic ! extremely helpful, with great shopping tips and cultural insights about the temples and shrines around the market. Traveling with my parents, this was the perfect way to experience Japan’s amazing fish and seafood. We had a fantastic time together as a family !
