I'm Lua, a cooking instructor, having grown up in Northern Vietnam and lived in the South for 28 years, with extensive travels across Vietnam and 17 other countries, I bring a diverse culinary expertise from many regions. Learning to cook at my home offers a truly authentic experience, where I will guide you step by step through the cooking process to get the best results and share plenty of cooking tips and stories along the way. I specialize in authentic, healthy home-style dishes made with high-quality ingredients. Menus can be tailored to vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-intolerant, or other special diets. MENU: We prepare 3 dishes from scratch together. If you want to learn specific dishes, please let me know when you book your class. Additional Notes: - Optional market visit available for VND150,000 per person. - No pickup servide provided. - Guests cook the same menu together in a shared kitchen setting (no separate stations). - For Bánh mì baking, coffee workshop, or street food tour, feel free to message me.

I loved this cooking class. Lua was friendly and engaging. The ingredients were fresh and the atmosphere was relaxed. I really enjoyed sitting down and eating what we had cooked at the end of the class.

We joined a cooking class with Lua’s Kitchen during our trip to Vietnam, and it was truly one of the highlights of our stay! The experience started with a visit to a local market near Lua’s home, where we bought all the fresh ingredients for our dishes. Lua explained so much about Vietnamese cuisine, local specialties, and how people shop and cook in their daily lives. The market wasn’t touristy at all — it’s a place locals actually go — and it was such a unique and authentic experience that we would’ve never found on our own. Back at Lua’s home, we cooked Bánh Xèo, Phở Gà, and Bún Bò Nam Bộ together. Lua told us about the regional differences in Vietnamese food and shared lots of background about traditional cooking methods. We learned a lot — and had a lot of fun! To finish off, Lua even showed us how to prepare a traditional Vietnamese egg coffee, which was the perfect ending to the class. Time flew by, and cooking with Lua felt like spending the day with a friend. She’s a wonderful host, incredibly knowledgeable, and made us feel completely at home. Highly recommend joining a class with Lua — it’s an unforgettable experience!

Our experience at Lau Kitchen was fantastic! Lau herself was an incredible host - highly knowledgeable, funny, and very flexible throughout the whole evening. She went out of her way to accommodate our needs and made sure we felt comfortable at every step. The food was delicious, but what really made it special was her warm personality and the way she shared her passion and insights with us. Couldn’t recommend Lau Kitchen more highly - it’s a must-do experience!

Had a fabulous experience with Lua, she customised our class ( just us so was great one on one experience) to suit our experiences...very informative and was simple to make the authentic / traditional dishes chosen.... place has amazing views and she "air b and b's" as well.....will be staying here next visit for sure..... Thanks lua and will catch you on our return visit for more classes and coaching...xx Highly recommended

Lua was so lovely, her apartment was awesome and the view was amazing Was only a small group of us which was great, we prepared and cooked authentic and very fresh and tasty food, was very satisfied Highly recommend this experience

Lua is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to making practical, clean, and flavorful recipes. If you are visiting HCMC I highly recommend you take one of her classes! I’ve already been to her kitchen 4 times and every experience has been filled with new dishes to learn and new people to meet. She is also very accommodating for allergies and adapts the menu to the group. This is always a highlight of my trips to Vietnam.

What a fantastic experience with Lua. I went with a couple of colleagues after a conference and we met some other lovely people there. Good hands on experience and nice to be in a home doing all the measuring chopping etc. Small group, great apartment - very happy for the air-conditioned apartment. To top it all off a delicious meal cooked and shared by all. Hoghly recommend.
