Since 2005, we've guided visitors through the District's incredible transformation - from whisky distillery to Hollywood North filming location to today's vibrant pedestrian-only culture destination.
Morning and afternoon tours available - join our expert guides and explore historic red brick streets, discover local cafes, and hear some of Toronto's most intriguing stories. This is 60 minutes of comfortable walking with plenty of photo stops and fun stories delivered by our animated tour guides!
What to expect: Small groups (maximum 15 people), 60 minutes of walking at a comfortable pace. We'll cover about 6 blocks total, with plenty of stops for photos and questions. Rain or shine - we'll take you inside if the rain starts pouring.
Perfect for: First-time Toronto visitors and locals that want to know more about the city they live in.
Note: Your tour guide can follow a fully accessible route upon request.

5.00I had a wonderful walking tour with Erik today. He was extremely knowledgeable about the distillery area and Toronto history as a whole. Erik presented this history in a very interesting and often humorous manner. It was a very hot day and he did his best to keep us in the shade or in indoor cooler areas. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend.

5.00This tour is an excellent way to spend an hour strolling around the Distillery District and learning about the history of the District in particular and Toronto as a whole. Erik was our guide, and I can’t say enough good things about him. He is a delight! He has a passion for the subject matter that is contagious, and an unlimited amount of knowledge of Canadian history. We learned so much! I did this tour with my 20-year-old son, and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well. After the tour, there are plenty of cute shops, restaurants and breweries to check out, so allow time for that in your schedule. We highly recommend!!
