• Much appreciated independent walking tour!

  Informative audio tour around Tortola close to the cruise port. Starting late, I completed less than half the route but very much enjoyed it (and the narrator's rich, lilting voice). At a nearby bar, I heard the best gravelly voiced blues guitarist ever. Then followed the narrow side streets--watch for speeding cars--visiting St. George's Anglican Church and mournful British prison, passing the Supreme Court/House of Assembly building, and the historic well (sadly dry) with its emancipation monument. I finished with a relaxing stroll around the botanical garden, whose friendly attendant alerted me to the tortoise action. Caught Bridgetown's little public tram back to the port. I love exploring on foot and public transit, so really appreciated this tour! Wish I'd had time to review it beforehand. Because I had purchased a satellite cell package for my trip, I had no signal problems.

  

  

  

  

  

• Useless and frustrating

  Useless waste of money. There are no walking directions telling you how to reach each stop. I couldn't even get to the first stop without asking locals for directions. No map access while listening, virtually no instructions, confusing download. Support line was an international number so you get hit with fees from carrier. Just not well thought out at all. Great if you want to wander aimlessly and get really frustrated in a foreign country. Requesting a refund.

• Good for knowing the places to go in Tortola

  The app was tough to figure out but the host was very friendly in helping to make it work. We loved walking around Tortola with this, as it told us exactly the spots to check out in an optimal route. We did not use the actual guide or information much but it seemed nice.

  I wasn't able to go on the walking tour, I made a mistake with the date. They were so nice when I texted and offered me a refund without me even asking. I appreciate their customer service.

  We didn't get to take the tour. We stopped by your shop and you were closed. We talked to a shop owner and they said they didn't know when you would open so we went out on our own.

  This self guided walking tour was great. Spent an interesting few hours walking around Road Town with great audio and local stories. Finished off with a Pusser’s Painkiller!

  We enjoyed the historical and interesting information about the places we visited in the voice of an islander. We felt the places on the tour took us away from the crowds and off the beaten path to mix more with the culture and people of Tortola.

  My partner and I did this self-guided audio walking tour while in port for the day, and it was a fantastic way to explore Road Town! The Actionbound app was simple to use, and the tour let us move at our own pace—no rushing, no big crowds. The stories were rich with history and local charm, and we loved being able to stop when we wanted—for photos, a drink, or a little shopping. Yes, it’s warm (you’ll definitely feel the Caribbean sun!), but there’s shade along the way and plenty of places to pause and cool off. Perfect for couples, older travelers, and curious cruisers looking for something unique and authentic beyond the usual tours. Highly recommended!
