Embark on a kayaking adventure through the remote and narrow canals of Tortuguero National Park. Paddle through calm waters surrounded by a dense tropical forest , where the only sounds are the gentle splash of your oars and the chorus of the fauna that surrounds you.

Accompanied by an experienced and bilingual guide, venture into the most beautiful areas of the National Park, where human presence is minimal and nature abounds. You can take a close look at the flora and fauna that make Tortuguero such a special place, including rare birds, monkeys, reptiles and other wild animals.

Yesterday, we took a night tour of the jungle with Don Yoyi, and it was just amazing. We saw a wide variety of animals, including many reptiles and amphibians. The thrill of exploring the jungle at night was unique. This morning, we enjoyed a canoe tour of the canals with guide Liroy. It was very, very fun and allowed us to appreciate the natural beauty of Tortuguero from a different perspective. Without a doubt, this experience is something that is not lived every day and we recommend it to everyone. We thank Engel for its excellent organization and the guides for their passion and knowledge. You can't miss it!

We were taken care of by angel, a very nice sympathetic enthusiastic youngster who just started this business, he explained everything well and had arranged it well. We ended up doing the tour with Pablo, a real local who spoke good English and knew all about the jungle, animals and his birthplace. Within a second Pablo had also spotted all the animals present at that spot. And we really saw a lot of animals. We had the tour for 2.5 hours but stayed longer in the jungle because Pablo and we had super fun in the jungle. This tour is highly recommended!

We hired kayaks from Engel and discovered Torteguero on our own pace. A really fun add on when a tour guide has already shown you around (we did 2 tours before).

We did the morning tour with Leroy and were absolutely thrilled. We wanted almost all the animals and also found them with his eagle's eye.

The canoe trip through the mangroves was very nice. We have seen caimans, iguanas and various birds. The guide was a super nice and humorous young man who told us a lot of interesting things about the region and the animals. Despite the cloudy skies, we didn't think it necessary to take our rain capes with us, which turned out to be a mistake. Shortly after departure it started to rain in torrents and only stopped shortly before the end of the tour. Fortunately, you hardly freeze in the temperatures there. Somehow it was also a particularly great experience, especially through the rain. Nevertheless, we recommend packing a cape for safety reasons. 😃 We definitely recommend the tour!
