For your Copenhagen By Mie & Friends tour you will be in a small group of a maximum of 10 people.
This is a child-friendly tour. Children between the ages of six and 11 inclusively are permitted on this tour at the rate listed above. Please select ‘child’ above when booking. Children under the age of six are permitted to join this tour free of charge. Please inform us at the time of booking if you’ll be bringing a child under the age of six.
Please note, we won't access the inside of any of the buildings located at the following places: The Kings Yellow Houses, Rosenborg Castle, Christiansborg Palace, The Old Stock Exchange, Nikolaj Kunsthal, The Opera House, The Royal Theatre, The Marble Church or The Citadel. Instead we will experience all of them from the outside.
This tour combines the best of 2 worlds: Our Hygge & Happiness tour and our Whirlwind of Sights tour

If you are going to get to the heart of hygge, you need to go back in time. We begin our Hygge & Happiness tour near the characteristic yellow houses of Nyboder, a famed local district. Here you’ll meet and greet your native guide and your group for the day. Your native guide is a bona fide Copenhagener who is super excited to share their knowledge of Danish culture with you, as well as local historical secrets that you won’t find in any guidebooks! And because our tours are for small groups only, your guide has plenty of time to answer any questions you may have.

Your tour takes you through the oldest parts of the city, where you experience hidden gems in the form of cobblestone-filled streets, timber-framed houses, and green refuges of calm amongst the urban sprawl. Krusemyntegade is one of the cobblestone-filled streets that just scream hygge with that old world charm. It’s a great example of how hyggelig our city can be if you just take the time to wander.

5.00Loved this tour. Amit was so knowledgeable and passionate about his homeland. We learnt so much about Copenhagen and Denmark. We had 3 food stops 🙃. A pastry called the “ froschnapper” ( obviously wrong spelling!) absolutely delicious. Then a lunch and a chocolate snowball shop Lots of manageable walking but wear comfortable shoes. We would highly recommend this tour. Only 6 in our group so the tour was highly personalised and we could ask lots of questions. So much better than the ones with 50 people and a person holding a paddle!

5.00Excellent way to see Copenhagen! Don’t think you can do it by yourself it is such a beautifulcitywith so much to see. The guide gives you all the great icons plus local alleyways and streets tourist do not see. You can do the entire Copenhagen in the five hours. Our guide was a university history graduate so the wealth of knowledge was superb and made the day totally incredible thank you so much.

5.00Our tour with Teresa was nothing short of fantastic!! she is extremely knowledgeable about Denmark and shared endless fun facts and stories about the country and it’s people! My family of four had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this tour. The pace is comfortable, the snacks are delicious (lunch was one of our favorites!) and you get to see all the highlights. Thank you Teresa!!!

5.00Had a great time exploring Copenhagen! The small group made a difference. Couldn’t imagine doing this with a large group and a leader holding a flag. Much more personal. Oskar P’s stories were great and made the tour something you couldn’t do on your own. Well worth it.

5.00Oscar was a great English guide. We learned & were shown much history of Denmark & Copenhagen with good walking exercise on a nice day! A lunch broke up the walking & a Danish treat was a nice dessert! This was a very worthwhile tour!
