The tour to the Emberá indigenous community begins with hotel pick-up, followed by a scenic drive to Chagres National Park. Upon arrival, guests board a traditional canoe and travel along the river, surrounded by lush rainforest and native wildlife, following the same route the Emberá people have used for generations.
In the Emberá Tusipono village, visitors are warmly welcomed and learn about the community’s history, traditions, daily life, and handcrafted art. A traditional lunch prepared by the community is served in the village. The experience also includes a visit to a beautiful jungle waterfall, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in its clear waters and relax in nature.

Chagres National Park
In Panama's Chagres National Park, you can immerse yourself in nature through hiking and wildlife observation, explore the Emberá indigenous communities, take canoe rides on the Chagres River, observe birds in their natural habitat, explore picturesque waterfalls and rivers, and marvel at the diversity of flora and fauna that this unique tropical environment offers.

We will visit the Emberá Tusipono community, you can immerse yourself in indigenous culture through activities such as learning about their traditions and crafts, enjoying traditional music and dances, trying their traditional cuisine like smoked fish and plantains, and exploring the jungle on guided hikes to discover its rich biodiversity and natural medicine.

5.00The day included canoeing through beautiful nature, visiting the indigenous village where we listened to stories about their culture and daily life, and even danced together with the community, which felt very authentic and welcoming. We also had lunch in the village, which was a special experience, followed by swimming at a waterfall — refreshing, relaxing, and a perfect way to end the trip. The guide was very warm, enthusiastic, and attentive, making sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the day. The overall pace of the itinerary was smooth and well-organized, never rushed, and very enjoyable.

3.00The overall visit was interesting and enjoyable, the lunch was good and the scenery beautiful. The guide/driver (Elliot) gave us no information about the itinerary or what we were seeing and his driving style was reckless. He had to be asked to turn off the tv on the front screen in the car. I would recommend this trip with another guide but knowing there will be a lot of other people doing the same thing.

5.00I had a lovely day at the Embera Village Tour. Our guide, Reuben, was excellent, the food was great and the dancing was enthusiastic. Going to the waterfall was pretty treacherous though, and I'm not sure I would do that again. Also, be sure to take some significant cash for the souveniers if you are interested in them. They are lovely but not cheap.

5.00Our experience on this excursion was wonderful. Our tour operator. Logan was phenomenal. He was funny, kind generous very knowledgeable. The indegenious community were such lovely people. The food and learning about thier culture was fascinating. I highly recommend this tour and hope that you get Logan as your guide! Highly recommend this excursion

1.00Firstly, you can’t book as a single traveller. Then they don’t pick you up even tho they say so. The driver wasn’t very friendly and didn’t speak English. The English speaking guide didn’t give any information at all. The driver was impatient and didn’t make any effort. We told him where we wanted to be dropped off (on the way) several times, he understood but ignored us. Seeing the indigenous is great but do it with another tour company. This one is not recommendable at all.

5.00I learned so much about the history of Palenque and the village from the tour guide. He provided so many details about the history of the former enslaved people in Colombia. I also enjoyed eating a meal with his family.
