Experience the highlights of Astoria with our guided tour! Our guided transportation tour offers an overview of the town, providing insight into its rich history, famous landmarks, historic homes, and movie scenes. We'll also show you the best shops, restaurants, and upcoming events, and recommend eateries, museums, and additional tours to explore. Additionally, we provide pamphlets with in-depth details to satisfy your curiosity. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, allowing you to thoroughly indulge your interests.
Our pickup time is 9:30 AM, unless it's a cruise day. On cruise days, we pick up one hour after the ship docks. I will make sure to send a text the day before and when I'm on my way. Pickup times may vary and could be after 10 AM, depending on the number of places we need to pick up from, as Onward Adventures picks up from multiple locations.

At this 125-foot Column, you will see the fantastic views, listen to the history, smell the coastal air, and take in the challenge of climbing the stairs. People leave this place feeling light, breathing in the accomplishments of yesterday's and today's challenges.
Flavel House Museum
Walk the grounds, see the carriage house and maybe visit the inside of the home.

5.00Great itinerary. Small group. Comfortable bus. Convenient parking in town to meet up with the tour group, Well planned tour. Katie& Will were fantastic guides and know their Astoria history. Loved the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

5.00Covered a lot of ground- saw from the sea to the town! We had a little more time because it was just two of us on the tour. Katie was very knowledgeable about the area, was flexible to our interests, and had lots of little meaningful "additions" that were an excellent touch. I highly recommend this company!

5.00Our cruise stopped in Astoria and we booked this tour for its local operators. Easy to walk to the meeting point we hopped on our tour mini van with Kate and headed to the beach for amazing views and photo opportunities, we got to gather a bit of the shimmering sand in tiny corked bottles provided by Kate, such a fun memento. Moving onto other points like Fort Stevens, The Astoria Column where you could walk up to the top and fly a provided paper airplane off the side. We ended up at the Goonies house while others went to see the seals or downtown shops. The snack break of jalapeño salmon dip was a refreshing touch. As a parting gift we all received a sand dollar to take home. Thanks Onward Excursions for the memories

3.00We had an unusual experience because we had a brand new guide. She was very nice but had no knowledge of the area and was unable to answer most questions. Everyone was very nice and tried their best to accommodate but missed rhe mark. We were split into groups and I think the other group had a better more experienced guide..

5.00It was extremely detailed and personalized itinerary. Our tour guide Bill (Onward Adventures) insured that we saw the important sites and also structured it to synced up with what the guests wish list, as well as a few extra things.

5.00We had an amazing time with our guide Katie from Onward Adventures, who is passionate and knowledgeable about her community of Astoria. She had great stories and good tips. She was very helpful and accommodating and tailored the tour to our and others needs. She helped the group break ice and enjoy each other's company. We particularly enjoyed the Astoria Column and its amazing view, the drive-around tour of Astoria's great homes and the city's unique history, and the 1906 shipwreck of the Peter Iredale. We learned a lot more about Astoria's rich history than we imagined was there. It made us want tio come back to Astoria for more. The tour was great value for the money.

5.00Bill was a fantastic guide, he is from the area and was very informative, terrific start of our trip down the coast of Oregon. He was extremely versed on the history of Astoria, especially the River Bar on the Columbia River (graveyard of the Pacific). The town certainly has a lot of history, a wonderful day.
