5.00This is a wonderful private tour of the Douro Valley region including a boat tour in Pinhão, wine tastings and lunch. Our guide Jorge was good company, a good driver and provided us with helpful information about the region and the history of port. All in all it was a great experience!

A nice drive out to the Douro from Porto where we took an hour long ride in an electric boat (quiet!) and tasted two wines, a visit to a wonderful wine cellar with a very informative talk about Port and Douro wines, a lovely lunch in Sabrosa at a remarkable old home/restaurant/vineyard with more tastings. Thank you, Jorge!

5.00It is definitely better to get a private tour to Duoro Valley. I tried the group tour but this was way better. We had a private wine tasting, our guide Jorge was accommodating and very informative. Wonderful experience!

5.00Our driver/ guide was easy to find and waiting for us. Our day was absolutely perfect seeing the valley from the boat trip was amazing. We then went to a couple of wineries with the second one serving our lunch under some gorgeous trees. We went to the cellars and tasted some wonderful port wines. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. This is a must do excursion in Lisbon .

5.00George was an awesome tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable about not only Portuguese wine, but all wines in general. George picked us up from our hotel in a comfortable Mercedes Van promptly at the start time. He spoke great English and was very thoughtful when explaining the different parts of the Douro Valley we were driving through. He was not overbearing, and made us feel comfortable on the long trip from Porto to the Douro Valley (a little over an hour). If we ever were to go back to Porto, I would definitely use George for another tour & I would absolutely recommend to friends and family.

5.00We had the most enjoyable day, it has been a highlight of our travels to Porto. The boat trip, the wine tastings and the gorgeous lunch at a private winery were exceptional. At each stop the locals who greeted us and gave us in-depth commentary of the wines and the area were very knowledgeable and so entertaining. 5.00We had the most wonderful day exploring the Douro Valley with our guide, Jorge. From the moment he greeted us, he was warm, friendly, and made us feel completely at ease—even with our two small children in tow. He went above and beyond to make the day comfortable for our family, always patient and helpful, which made the experience so much more enjoyable for us. Jorge’s knowledge of the Douro region and its history is incredible, and his expertise as a sommelier brought a whole new depth to the wine tastings. He explained everything with such passion and clarity that we left feeling like we’d truly learned about the culture, traditions, and flavors of the area. The itinerary was perfectly balanced, the scenery breathtaking, and every stop felt thoughtfully chosen. It was a full day but never rushed, and it truly felt like a private, tailored experience. For the quality of the tour, it was an excellent value and one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. Thank you, Jorge, for giving us such a memorable day—we couldn’t have asked for a better guide!
