Your adventure begins as we take you away from Panama City to the pristine wilderness of Chagres National Park. Here, the Embera people will welcome you aboard a traditional canoe for a journey up the river that feeds the famous Panama Canal.
Prepare for breathtaking scenery as you glide through the lush rainforest. Your guide will then lead you on a short hike to a hidden waterfall where you can plunge into its cool, crystal-clear waters.
After your refreshing swim, the Embera community will welcome you into their village to share their ancient culture. Bring water shoes with good grip, hiking sandals or sport shoes that you don't mind if get wet, avoid beach sandals, flip flops or Crocs like because you will be walking on mud, slippery rocks and through water
You can swim in the waterfall with clothes or you could bring swimsuit under clothes because there is no place to change there. There are proper bathrooms at the village where you can change at the end and bring an extra change of clothes for the way back to your accommodation.
Bring cash in case you want to buy souvenirs or have a temporary tattoo.
Mosquito repellant is not needed. Bring sunscreen and hat

5.00The most exciting tour ever! Great guide Demetrio was fantastic! He was veryknowledgeable and loadsof fun!! Van was comfortable. The hike was challenging and loads of fun. The Embera people are truly gusrdians of Mother Earth. A must do in Panama!

5.00This was such a wholesome experience. We started off by taking a canoe to the point to kayak then we kayak to the waterfall then it was like a 20-30 minute hike to the waterfall. We spent some time there and went back to the village and ate and dance with the people it was really nice and very adventurous, brace yourself. It’s a lot of physical activity had a great time and our tour guide was so nice. 10/10 recommend especially if you love adventure.

5.00This tour was amazing, definitely a must do. Dan was so insightful and gave us interesting history tad bits on Panama. It rained on the way back from our tour and he even had ponchos for us to use. The fruits were the best I ever had and I will be dreaming about them at home. From the road trip there, the people, the food and the boat ride you are definitely getting a well rounded experience 10/10.

4.00Ok I want to say that the experience was amazing, authentic and heart filling. Got to see le local culture experience their cooking, traditional dancing all while traveling in a beautiful Canoo and more. But the "guide" Dimitri or better said just driver was the reason I rate this with 4 stars. Truth be told I was thinking of putting 1 Star. He literally did nothing! Didn't give us information about the places we went didn't really worry about the group or their needs. We had an elderly woman and he never worried if she was OK while walking super fast to the diferent spots. all his word used where. "I need to see your voucher" "I need the payment " " let's go". At some point he went to translate for the group in English while the tribe Lady was explaining the activities. But here's the thing I literally overheard him say while laughing to another guide " I'm going to go do something so they think I was working". I Hope the company looks into this because it's an amazing authentic experience that I'm sure many other pasionate guides would love to participate and inmerse you into a memorable experience. It's sad to have had such a lovely experience that leaves me with a bitter sensation due to Dimitri. Ps: all the best to to the Embera community.
