Your adventure begins as we take you away from Panama City to the pristine wilderness of Chagres National Park. Here, the Embera people will welcome you aboard a traditional canoe for a journey up the river that feeds the famous Panama Canal.
Prepare for breathtaking scenery as you glide through the lush rainforest. Your guide will then lead you on a short hike to a hidden waterfall where you can plunge into its cool, crystal-clear waters.
After your refreshing swim, the Embera community will welcome you into their village to share their ancient culture. Bring water shoes with good grip, hiking sandals or sport shoes that you don't mind if get wet, avoid beach sandals, flip flops or Crocs like because you will be walking on mud, slippery rocks and through water
You can swim in the waterfall with clothes or you could bring swimsuit under clothes because there is no place to change there. There are proper bathrooms at the village where you can change at the end and bring an extra change of clothes for the way back to your accommodation.
Bring cash in case you want to buy souvenirs or have a temporary tattoo.
Mosquito repellant is not needed. Bring sunscreen and hat

5.00It is well worth the money trust me we had an awesome time at the falls and meeting the indigenous people and learning their way of life and don't even get me started on the food.

5.00We really enjoyed this tour. The waterfall was nice, but there were ALOT of people there and it is was quite tight quarters. The guides helped us up and down the slippery rocks and there are ropes to hang onto that are attached to the rocks. I didn’t go in the water, but those that did said they enjoyed it. The Embera village was so interesting. The people are very welcoming. The food was excellent! If you are interested in buying the Embera hand made crafts, do it there. I bought 3 small baskets for $15 each at the village and saw the same thing in a shop in Old Town for $28 each.

5.00Enjoyed our trip to the Emberá Village. The canoe ride was refreshing with lots of fresh air, followed by a fun kayak out to the waterfalls. We had a delicious lunch in the village and wrapped it up with a brief traditional dance performance. A lovely, relaxing cultural experience overall.

5.00Definitely one of the better tours we have taken, and we’ve taken quite a few. Eric was a perfect tour guide. He knew just how much interaction to input. The Embera people were very kind and friendly. Scenery was great including the waterfall. Four thumbs up for us.

5.00A great experience, from the moment we boarded the ship the guide explained the places where we were passing along the way. The waterfall is magnificent. Lunch delicious, fruit fresh and juicy. The explanation of the girl from the community very complete. The guide translated into English for those who needed it. I highly recommend:)
