Your adventure begins as we take you away from Panama City to the pristine wilderness of Chagres National Park. Here, the Embera people will welcome you aboard a traditional canoe for a journey up the river that feeds the famous Panama Canal.
Prepare for breathtaking scenery as you glide through the lush rainforest. Your guide will then lead you on a short hike to a hidden waterfall where you can plunge into its cool, crystal-clear waters.
After your refreshing swim, the Embera community will welcome you into their village to share their ancient culture. Bring water shoes with good grip, hiking sandals or sport shoes that you don't mind if get wet, avoid beach sandals, flip flops or Crocs like because you will be walking on mud, slippery rocks and through water
You can swim in the waterfall with clothes or you could bring swimsuit under clothes because there is no place to change there. There are proper bathrooms at the village where you can change at the end and bring an extra change of clothes for the way back to your accommodation.
Bring cash in case you want to buy souvenirs or have a temporary tattoo.
Mosquito repellant is not needed. Bring sunscreen and hat

5.00I would definitely do this again! The waterfall was amazing!!! My favorite experience while visiting Panama . The water felt sooooo good and refreshing . Meeting the indigenous and experiencing being in their community felt so welcoming and Learning about their culture and eating their food was unforgettable. Alex did a great job at being hands on with each of us on the tour and helped with taking photos of everyone while at the waterfall and in the community. He was very patient with everyone! I would highly recommend.

5.00This was one of the most genuine and funnest excursions I’ve been on out of every country I’ve visited thus far. We visited a local Indian village and spent the day in the life of an Indian. Their hospitality was top notch, the people were VERY respectful, and the memories were captured. They cooked for me, took me on a hike, went swimming at the waterfall, kayaked down the river, gave me a tattoo, and danced until I was tired.

5.00To be ready for a great half day of learning, an experience, and enjoyment!! From the time your guide (Dan) picks you up (he brings so much history as you're driving to the destination)...the canoe ride was just WoW!..., the waterfall was great, and the village with indigenous people and their way of life was the icing on the cake!! Everything that is explained for the booking is just that...no surprises!!

5.00Wonderful excursion ! Dan is a wonderful guide and the Embera people seem to love having him bring his tour groups. Waterfall hike is not that difficult. Dan and our Embera guide helped several in the slippery rocks. It does involve getting wet 👍👍
