This tour is unique in that you will be on guided shorter hikes in Mt. Rainier National Park. From November to June snowshoes/crampons will be provided when necessary since there is often snow on the trails in those months.
We hike a few miles throughout the day and you will experience diverse landscapes and scenery such as glaciers, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, and tall trees in old-growth forest which are all the highlights in Mount Rainier National Park.
(In the winter areas of the park may be closed some days and not all highlights will be accessible at times).

Mount Rainier
We drive to Mt. Rainier National Park (2 hours) and hike from the visitor center at Paradise for about a mile where we picnic close to some giant glaciers. We then hike back for a mile and drive to viewpoints with panoramic views and we see the Narada Falls and the Christine Falls, old growth forests with a thousand year old big trees and the Reflection Lakes. In Winter and Spring seasons (November-June) we will snowshoe rather than hiking - no experience required.

The stops are beautiful and well worth it. However, it would have been even better if more facts and information were shared during the drive. It’s a long drive and hearing some of the facts and history would have made the drive more enjoyable.

Mount Rainer was beautiful. We had the opportunity to see many of the falls and highlights of rhe National Park. Susan was very knowledgeable about the park and surrounding areas. Definitely worth the 4 hour ride from Seattle (2 hours there and 2 hours back). However, the tour seemed a bit disorganized. Tour started late as we waited for transportation, ran long at food stop as guide purchased water,, some delays at the beginning of hike related to hiking sticks, and often general confusion on gameplan.

The experience up in mt. rainier is unmatched!!! Rachel was amazing… very kind hearted and extremely helpful, I loved her!!! The only reason I give a 4star and not a 5 is because there was no legroom in the van and we were too many for such a small van!!!. Give Rachel a better van cz she killed it with the what she had!!! Great addition to our US tour.👌

This was a more rigorous hike than I expected. Nonetheless, it was well worth it and I was glad to have done it.

The hike was great and our guide, Rachel, was nice. The shuttle bus was incredibly cramped, though. I was stuck in the very back (I was told to go there), and we were packed in like sardines. Definitely not a luxurious ride, if that’s something you’re looking for.
