On this tour to Mt. Rainier National Park there is a lot of diversity from alpine environment to old growth forest in lower elevation. We drive to the highlights in the park and you will experience diverse landscapes and scenery such as glaciers, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and tall trees in old-growth forest. You will be on guided shorter hikes at points of interest.
In the winter areas of the park may be closed some days and not all highlights will be accessible at times - from November to June snowshoes/crampons will be provided when necessary since there is often snow on the trails in those months.

Mount Rainier
We drive to Mt. Rainier National Park (2 hours) and hike from the visitor center at Paradise for about a mile where we picnic close to some giant glaciers. We then hike back for a mile and drive to viewpoints with panoramic views and we see the Narada Falls and the Christine Falls, old growth forests with a thousand year old big trees and the Reflection Lakes. In Winter and Spring seasons (November-June) we will snowshoe rather than hiking - no experience required.

5.00Booked this tour because I am afraid of heights and thought the road would be scary for me to drive. Glad I did. Meet some nice people who were in the van with me. I am a 71 year old lady who lives at 126 feet above sea level. I walk a lot but the hike to the lunch spot( just a little farther 🤣) made me suck wind! Plus I decided to luge my long lens and camera. (Glad I did) Susan was very patient with this old lady who complained about it being hot and was a little slower than the rest of the group. They waited for me. ( she had on long pants, long fleece shirt and a fleece!! Not sure how she didn't faint from the heat) We got to see everything but Myrtle Falls.( did stop at the 2 falls on the way to Paridise) I think it was due to time lost in construction on the road that day. Susan did find us a patch of Huckleberries for us to sample! I recommend using this female owned tour company.

5.00Absolutely LOVED this experience. Our guide Susan was informative and knew all the places to see. While it was a full day tour, it included several mini hikes that allowed for a variety of views without wearing you out. Myself and two teenage boys really appreciated seeing the diversity on Mt Rainier (snow shoeing up high to bare ground down below) and learning about the diversity of trees and flora. Susan was well prepared with all the gear and happily answered all of our questions.

5.00It was an absolutely beautiful experience. The This was an outstanding experience and our guide showed us the best of the park. She was so welcoming, sweet, knowledgeable, and so accommodating. We had a smaller group and made the best of the tour. An absolutely dream tour of mt rainier.

5.00Indeed, WOW is right! Susan was a wonderful guide, with a thoughtful response to every question and an inviting, warm demeanor. And she’s fun! I watched her lead the way for some “sledding” on trash bags at the request of our group. From Rainier, to Narada Falls, to the old growth forest, this was a great day…thanks to Susan! -Wesley

4.00Second part of the drive to Mt Rainier was already beautiful. Nice smaller road through beautiful landscape, with colorful autumn leaves. In de Nat. Park we took a 3 h hike to the waterfalls, which was stunning. We had bit of rain but this cleared up and when we reached the waterfalls all was covered in snow. Our guide Susan was great showing us the best spots for pictures and bringing snowclamps for our shoes which were very useful. Overall a wonderful experience.

5.00A very beautiful hike! The waterfalls were so pretty. Some trees were starting to turn so we got to see the fall colors in the mountains.

5.00Great day trip with good views. The hike to the picnic spot, though short, is all up hill. Also, understand that the weather in the mountains is not the same as it is at lower elevations so expect snow. Our guide did have crampons for those that were in tennis shoes which was a plus. There were also options for those that wanted more hiking and those that wanted less, so it’s really what you make of it.

5.00With a convenient pickup in downtown Seattle, this full day experience was exactly what I had hoped it would be—the opportunity to be outside in breathtaking Mt. Rainier National Park. After a stop at a grocery store to pick up a lunch for ourselves we continued to the park with our guide, Sue, pointing out different landmarks and history of the small towns and vistas we passed by. Once we were in the park, we had several pull-over spots to point out views and photo ops of Mt. Rainier and the surrounding Cascades Mountains before arriving at the visitor center, where our hike began. We hiked the steep and rigorous Skyline Trail, Sue stopping at various points along the way for our group to catch our breath, to take photos, and to point out the topography and geology of the area. We ate a picnic lunch at a circle of trees on the way up, a great break for all of us! The hike and an opportunity to visit the gift shop took us about 4 hours. BUT we were not done yet! Sue brought us to Narada Falls, Christie Falls, a part of the old growth forest where we saw at 1200 year old Douglas fir, and we tracked to the Nisqually River bed. This is a small group (there were 9 of us with Sue) experience, perfect for anyone with an at minimum medium fitness level, who wants to out into nature and not just see it through a window. This experience is by far the favorite tour I’ve been on. Thank you, Sue, for sharing your love of Mt. Rainier and your expertise.
