3.00Cruise ships in São Tomé are obliged to disembark their passengers by tender as the port facilities there are inadequate for the ship to dock. Unfortunately although sea conditions on the day we arrived were little more than a light swell, this was still regarded by the Captain of our NCL ship as too dangerous for his passengers to transfer to the tender boats, so he cancelled the stop and our ship proceeded directly to the next destination. This meant we could not participate in the excursion on São Tomé and we consequently lost all our money as no refund of any kind was offered.

1.00NO RECOMMEND, Do not book. This is a tender port. Our ship arrived and due to the swell of the Ocean we were unable to tender to shore; tour operator would not provide any type of refund! For the cost, very dip, DO NIT BOOK!

5.00Excellent, Valdemar was very knowledgeable and spoke English very clearly. The view of Cao Grande and the explanation of the museum were very good. A good driver as well.
Unfair treatment to cruise passengers !!!

1.00I’ve used Viator around the world I booked this tour that was designed for cruise travelers When we arrived at the port passengers were not able to tender because of rough seas I called immediately to the tour company and told them the Norwegian cruise passengers would not be going on the tour that day Viator verified my statements with tour group Bon Be Non in Sao Tome ….both are refusing to refund any part of $179 for a tour that never happened not of any fault of cruise passengers Terrible Injustice ! Do not book with Viator when on a cruise Never book with Bon Be Non Tour Group Very dishonest

5.00Good tour. Although we started late due to the delay of the cruise tender boat, we were able to visit all places listed in the itinerary. Air conditioned mini van, bottled water offered. Good choice for cruise travelers.

4.00Our guide Jorge was very good, spoke English very well, did all the sights as promised, gave us time to appreciate the sights, added more sights that we requested like the Diogo Vaz chocolate store, was a very good driver. The only hitch was we were not informed where to meet hence we wasted time going farther than necessary to meet the guide. Also we had a driver who was either a new driver or did not know how to drive . I was concerned our vehicle would careen over. I was glad our guide took over driving from the driver on the way back to the ship, which greatly relieved us.

5.00Very friendly, cautious and knowledgable driver "George", good communication, perfect English, dated but reliable car. On that island you cannot ask for more. Showed us not only the good spots but also what a tourist normally does not see or notices.

5.00The tour can be for up to 20 pax, our guide said max is usually around 15 or so. There were just 3 of us, which was great. Our guide was George, who was a superstar, informative, knowledgeable (there wasn't a question that we asked that he didn't know the answer to!), funny, flexible to what we wanted to do and not do, a safe driver on some pretty tricky roads full of huge potholes. We saw a huge amount of the island, and learned a lot. What a beautiful country, woukd thoroughly recommend this tour.

5.00So much history and heat. Be prepared to walk some, some children in need but very respectful . Great guide, wonderful explanations and obliging to guests requests.

5.00Just did an excellent trip to the central and northern part of the island with Nilton Paquete .. his English is outstanding which is not too common in the island, I was going to self drive but honestly thank goodness I didn’t of still be driving in circles, Nilton is a super interesting guy with a fascinating story and it gave me such a better feel for the island than if I did it alone. So thanks Nilton .. awesome 🙏🏼 his contact details in the pics ..
