4.00The tour guide was fabulous. We paid for the early ceremony but the ceremony didn’t happen because the soldiers didn’t arrive- so not sure why we paid all the additional money

5.00We really enjoyed the tour and it was great to be the first into the Tower of London. We were also the first into the Crown Jewels. Our tour guide made sure that we were in the best spot for all the pictures. I would suggest having a sign or someone holding something up to make it easier to find them.

Our guide, Sophie, was animated, dynamic, and wonderfully theatrical — she brought centuries of British history to life with humor and flair. I especially appreciated her quick wit and sarcasm, which made complex events and royal politics surprisingly easy (and fun!) to follow. Sophie shared engaging stories about the Tower of London, Traitor’s Gate, and the Bloody Tower, weaving historical background with entertaining details that kept everyone captivated. The opening ceremony led by the Yeoman Warder (Beefeater) was another highlight. It felt like an honor to witness such a symbolic and time-honored procession in person. The Beefeater himself balanced solemnity with warmth and lighthearted charm. Having early access truly made a difference — we were able to explore the grounds and the Crown Jewels without the usual crowds, which made the experience more intimate and immersive. The Crown Jewels exhibit itself was fascinating and offered powerful insight into the symbolism and traditions of the British monarchy — for better or for worse, it’s an unforgettable look into history, pageantry, and power. 5.00This is really just to get you in to see the Opening Key ceremony. You do get in before everyone else for the jewels, however. The Key Ceremony was really fantastic, although you don’t get to see it up close. They walk past you a little further and you can kind of see it, then walk past you again. Our guide Lee, was also very knowledgable and entertaining.
A really exclusive experience.
