  5 stars for Marko! He gave us a clear and helpful lesson, with great tips to get started quickly, and answered all our questions. We then did a beautiful round while he shared interesting stories about skiing and local history. He’s knowledgeable, good-humoured, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. Highly recommended!

  If you're looking for an authentic and unforgettable cross-country skiing experience in the heart of Finland, look no further than Kemi – and especially Marko as your guide. From the very beginning, everything was easy and well organized. Marko even picked us up, which made the whole experience completely stress-free. He took the time to explain the basics of cross-country skiing clearly and patiently, making sure everyone felt comfortable before we started. As a beginner, I really appreciated how he showed us the proper techniques and helped us get confident on the skis. Marko’s deep knowledge of the local trails and Finnish wilderness was apparent as he guided us through some of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever seen. We skied through peaceful, snow-covered forests and across beautiful winter scenery with crisp, fresh Arctic air all around us. What really set this experience apart was Marko himself. He was friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. He shared local stories and insights about the region and life in Lapland, which made the tour feel personal and special. I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kemi, whether you’re a first-time skier or more experienced. Marko tailors the trip to your skill level and makes sure everyone feels comfortable and included. An amazing winter experience I would definitely do again!

  Beautiful skiing experience with Marko, our instructor who with great sympathy and experience guided us for the first time in this activity!! Definitely if we return to Lapland we will go back to him for a second ride and I highly recommend to those who come here to try this experience with Marko!

  Marko is such an excellent teacher. After my first lesson, I left there sking🏂⛷️😀😄😁😃⛷️🏂It was so much fun. Marko, gave very clear and precise instructions. Couldn't ask for any better. And the photo shoot at the end was hilarious 😁😃😄😄

  It was a great experience! The views were really beautiful and Marko explained the history of Kemi and the island of Laitakari, with lots of interesting information and I had fun while learning how to ski. Totally recommended!

  Amazing experience! Marko is a natural teacher, and the track he picked was beautiful! There is plenty of shoe sizes to choose from, but bring your own gloves and hats.

  Highly recommend experience. Ok, the weather was fantastic that helped and also our party was joined by a fairly quick german woman so we went for the lake. On the lake we followed a trail, went to the “saw-mill” island, enjoyed the fantastic snow covered trees en lavished in the sun. Marko told us a lot about the history of the place, the ice-hotel, Kemi as a city et cetera. In total we covered quite a distance so it was a good work-out. Tip… the better the group the further you go so… ask in advance.

  

  

  

  

• Amazing Crosscountry Skiing Tour on the Frozen Baltic Sea & Laitakari Island

  The tour with Marko was brilliant! Even though the temperatures were quite cold he made it a very fun and worthwhile experience. He first taught us a few things about cross country skiing and then we went off onto the frozen Baltic Sea heading for the former saw mill island of Laitakari.
