The description didn't adequately describe how much we enjoyed the event. Cyril is so pleasant and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the culture of the people and how the towns evolved over time. Highly recommend. A lovely compliment to your other planned activities.

If you are staying in the south of France, this tour is definitely worth it. On a girls trip with my sister, I happened to see her and booked her, but it was such a wonderful tour, far exceeding my expectations. I'm so glad I took part. I recommend it. It was a trip to the Royal Valley in Mercantour, a village with a lot of Italian culture that was incorporated into France after World War II. First of all, the history of the region was very deep and interesting, and the guide's explanation was very easy to understand and interesting. Every village in the secluded Southern Alps had such a wonderful view that it was so nice to see the simple and rich mountain life that still continues quietly. Our guide, Cyril, is very knowledgeable and humorous, and we had a good time participating, laughing throughout. He was a wonderful guide who cared so much about making sure all the participants enjoyed it, so by the end they were all good friends. The natural way they interacted with the people of the village showed that they were trusted by the local community. Thank you so much for the wonderful time. The beautiful churches and monasteries nestled in the mountains, the rustic and rich village life that continues today, and the stunning views of the Alps were very nice. I attended with my sister and it was an unforgettable memory. I would love to visit this area again.

This tour was absolutely wonderful, and I’m so glad I decided to book it. It takes you through the deep history of the Mercantour–Roya Valley in the Southern French Alps. Learning about the dramatic changes this region has gone through, and the many human stories behind its past, was truly fascinating. Hearing stories directly from local villagers made the experience even more special and memorable. Cyril is an exceptional guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and wonderfully hospitable. He made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and engaged throughout the day. From the way he interacts with the villagers, you can see how much he is trusted and appreciated by the local community. It was clear that he genuinely cares about sharing the history and beauty of this region. The mountain churches and the monastery were beautiful, and it was inspiring to see the rich yet simple village life that continues today. And of course, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. I would love to come back and explore this beautiful region again. I came on this tour with my sister, and it became such a special and memorable day for both of us. Thank you Cyril for such a wonderful experience! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

This is a very unique experience. We all enjoyed the day and we were happy we made it to the citadel. It is quite a hike, but worth the work. The views are amazing. Carmela’s communication beforehand was efficient and clear about changes. She was well organized and informative. We all enjoyed spending time with her. The lunch selection was very impressive and the food was good.

My husband and I really enjoyed this interesting tour with our guide, Carmela. She informed and entertained us with her knowledge of the history of this region. The views from the train were amazing, but what really took our breath away was the view from the castle/fortress in the village of Entrevaux. The hike to the top is fairly steep, but well worth the effort! Additionally, we were pleased with the local bakery she took us to and the lunch Carmela arranged for us was a very unique experience. We also toured a lovely cathedral on our way up to the royal gate and the castle beyond.

A perfect activity for a family group. Whether you've never missed an episode of The Traitors, or just caught a bit of it, it is a fantastic recreation of the show. The round table is identical to the experience you see on the television - just as tense and fraught as you've seen on the show. We visited as a family of 8, which is the limit for a group booking. This is could be a definite advantage (although one of our group was voted out in the first round!) Don't be put off if you're in a two or a three, as you just never know who will be on your table. Our host worked hard and was great throughout. Tasks are relatively underwhelming and limited by being in a single room, however everyone is involved and that helps to break the ice between the players. If you are banished or murdered first, you'll definitely feel short-changed on gameplay, however the viewing room you go to is equally a fun experience as you can still see and hear everything in the room. The game lasted about 2 hours and we loved it. A couple of negatives: Front of house staff we encountered were borderline rude and did not set a welcoming tone from the beginning. If you win, you might expect a commemorative token like a pin badge or coin, but you get nothing - except the slight feeling of dread when you're revealed as a traitor and have to face your game players the bar afterwards!
