The historic urban site of Pocitelj
Medieval stone town Počitelj is built in the 14th century by the order of Bosnian king Tvrtko. Often referred to as Bosnia and Herzegovina’s ‘open-air museum’, its location in a natural karst amphitheater on the bank of the Neretva river is both stunning and strategic. Along with its stunning oriental architecture and Ottoman feel, in Pocitelj you can always enjoy eating figs, grapes, pomegranates, and other various organic fruit.

Esmer was our guide of this nonstop trip. Every stop was better than I expected and Esmer was a great guide in between stops giving us info about our destinations and Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole. Esmer’s story of his childhood and firsthand experiences of the war was a fascinating and unique experience to hear about. After our last stop at Kravice Waterfalls, my friend and I switched from the van with Esmer to Adis’s car for our transfer to Dubrovnik. Adis continued our tour by answering all of our questions we had. He even went out of his way to take us to a bakery we wanted to try and let me use his personal hotspot to call my airbnb host in Dubrovnik. I’d definitely recommend this tour to everyone

10/10 trip- cannot recommend more. Esmer was so thoughtful, knowledgeable and made the whole day run smoothly. He answered all our questions , no matter how obscure and provided fascinating details and context to all the locations, history as we drove and all the little touches like water, stopping when people needed food etc. were really appreciated. The locations are stunning and it is such a great way to make a transit from Mostar to Dubrovnik. Thank you!

This tour was one of the main reasons that led us to Mostar, and in the end, it was everything we were expecting and a bit more. Our guide Adis Zele picked us up at our hotel. First, he drove us to the top of Vidikovac Fortica and told us basic important facts about how Bosnia and Herzegovina is organized, about its recent history, and about how Mostar is an important part of it. We had some free time to walk on the glass floor and take awesome pictures. After that, we went to Blagaj, an astonishing place. We had enough time there to have breakfast admiring the Buna River. After that we went further west, to see the place where the Neretva River - an absolute groundbreaking view. In the next stop, the Pocitelj, where we had enough time to explore the surroundings. We had a small adventure climbing to get to the top of the Dzebhana. After that, we still had time to have a nice lunch at that place. Then we went to the Kravica Falls where we had a relaxing time admiring the falls, the river, and getting into the water for over an hour. After that, we went straight to Dubrovnik, only making a very short stop in a store on the way to buy some groceries. The views were extremely pleasant all the way. On the way, our guide Adis gave us a lot of information on Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Balkans, including about the recent difficult history faced them. While we had a very friendly and pleasant conversation about our countries, we asked him tons of questions, which he happily answered, stating clearly where was the diving line between facts and opinions, and we learned a lot from him. We do recommend this tour to everyone interested in visiting these beautiful locations while going to Dubrovnik and to those who want to learn more about Bosnia and Herzegovina. And we do recommend Adis Zele as a great tour guide.
