Peles Castle
Located in the Carpathian Mountains near Sinaia, Romania, Peles Palace is a stunning Neo-Renaissance castle built between 1873 and 1914. Commissioned by King Carol I of Romania, the palace served as a royal residence. Designed by German architect Johannes Schultz, Peles Palace boasts intricate architecture, ornate decorations, and a diverse range of styles, including Gothic, Italian Renaissance, and French Rococo. The palace is surrounded by lush gardens and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Cantacuzino Castle
Situated in the heart of Busteni, Romania, Cantacuzino Castle is a remarkable example of neo-Romanian architecture. Built in the early 20th century, between 1901 and 1902, the castle was initially the residence of Prince George Grigore Cantacuzino. The castle features a blend of architectural styles, including French and Italian influences, with a touch of Art Nouveau. Visitors are captivated by the castle’s picturesque surroundings and its intricate detailing, making it a notable cultural and historical landmark in Romania.
