The Jewish area is known in Rome as the Ghetto. Both the Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere have histories that tell another side of life in Rome over the past 2,000 years. In this small group tour, you will be able to learn about the gripping history of the Jewish population in Rome, and their impact in the city’s ancient and contemporary life.
At the end of the tour, savor your experience with a coffee or gelato on us!

5.00Phenomenal tour by Rish who infused our experience with deep knowledge, excellent storytelling, and personal interest. Rish’s familiarity with the neighborhood made for an informative two hours, complete with a stop at a local bakery for true Italian biscotti! Can’t recommend highly enough. We will be back for sure!

5.00Fun tour with Andy! Friendly and informed, he kept my teens entertained with the history of the food, and the architecture when asked. Kids had a blast, and so did I. So much tastiness.

5.00Ricardo was an exceptional tour guide—friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable about the rich history and hidden corners of Rome. My wife and I felt an instant connection with him from the very start of our tour at the steps of Piazza Trilussa. He takes his time and explains each point of interest thoughtfully and thoroughly, bringing the city to life in a way that feels both personal and unforgettable. We’ll always cherish our time traversing Trastevere with Ricardo—sipping espresso at one of his favorite local cafés and enjoying pizza rosa together as we concluded our tour in the Jewish Ghetto of Rome. A truly memorable experience from start to finish. I would recommend a tour with Ricardo 10/10 times!

5.00Amazing tour! Much more casual and personal than some of the group tours in more popular settings. The ghetto and trastavere were gorgeous, and Francesco our guide helped us to find incredible spots for photos, history, and more intimate neighborhood vibes.

5.00I can say that I was exhausted by the time we met up with Andy having already completed two full tours by 2 pm; however, I was re-energized by our tour with Andy. He took his time to show us interesting places of interest from bridges, to churches, to small novellas on buildings and what the architecture of the past looked like. He was very generous and never rushed us through any of the sites. My main interest was the Jewish ghetto and although it no longer exists as in other places in Italy, Andrew was able to describe exactly what it would have been like and pointed out what remains from that time period. Andy spoke perfect English and had a charming sense of humor which we greatly appreciated and made the end of the day very enjoyable.
