This tour is designed to showcase the unique colors of the Smoky Mountains in the fall. The peak colors change from year to year but we always try to track down the areas where the most color can be found. This tour runs only from October through mid November. Along the way you will see a lot of the local area inside and outside of the park. Your guide will give you a lot of information along the way about the history and heritage of the local area and its people. The route can change from day to day based on the guides intuition and the areas where color may be most likely. Tree color isn't always going to cooperate in the earlier part of the month, please bear this in mind when choosing your date. Even on those days when color isn't easily found however, we show you some of the most amazing views and regale you with stories and history. This tour is a full 5 hours of sights, stories, and views that can't be missed.

We booked the “Trees of Many Colors Tour from Pigeon Forge” on October 23 via Expedia, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. 1️⃣ Lack of detailed itinerary – There was no information about the route, schedule, lunch stops, or sightseeing points. 2️⃣ No contact information – After booking, we never received a call or message from the tour operator. Even after contacting Expedia three times, they couldn’t provide a phone number or email for the company. 3️⃣ Unbalanced schedule – Although advertised as a 5-hour scenic tour, most of the time was spent at shopping stops and waiting for lunch. 4️⃣ Poor viewing experience – The fall colors had barely changed, there was little scenery to enjoy, and no wildlife sightings. 5️⃣ Boring commentary – The guide’s narration was dull and lacked enthusiasm or useful information. Overall, it was not worth the price and failed to deliver what was promised. Expedia should ensure better communication and transparency for this tour.

The tour people are great. Our driver and guide was the best. Made sure we stopped and got out to take pictures. His name is Jack. Highly recommend this trip. The colors were just beginning to change.in 2025 From my perspective, best booking time would be last weekend in October thru first weekend in November.

We had a great time on this tour. Dustin was awesome and we got to see great views of the Smokies as well as learn a lot. The van was nice and very comfortable. We really enjoyed it

We were scheduled to board between 8:30 to 8:50 am. I checked my phone at 7:30am and no messages. We got to the meeting place and waited. I looked at my text messages again and found a message had come in at 7:58 announcing there would be no tour. I think the announcement should have been made sooner that the tour was cancelled.

This tour took us to places to see colors and the driver had checked out the places ahead of time. However, the vehicle that was used meant that getting everyone in made it very crowded. People (us) who had to sit in back needed to crawl over the others.

Oh my gosh, it was just a fantastic trip. I even went on it twice. I have never seen anybody as knowledgeable and enjoyable as Dustin. he was absolutely fantastic. Every single person on the tour enjoyed him guiding us. Even though this was a little bit later in the year, there were still plenty of color to see. We were not rushed and allowed to take many many pictures. Dustin has quite a family history in the area, and he shared that with us, and allowed us to share things with him.

Excellent Tour! Bus driver/guide was a local, so... very, very knowledgeable about the area. Smart and funny :) Had great family history stories to share. Taught us a lot about the 40 different trees in the Smoky Mountains. Took us to the best spots with awesome views of the colorful Fall Foliage. Wonderful day having someone else driving so we could take in all of the gorgeous Smoky Mountains scenery.

Austin, our guide, is a native of the area; his knowledge of the area and information he provided were excellent! I definitely recommend this tour.

While the guide, Dustin, was very informative, the transportation was less than desirable The van had seats for maybe 15 but the seats were not wide enough and uncomfortable. there were a number of stops where the people were to get out of the van to look at the colors of the leaves. It was very difficult for some to exit and enter the van and that made the whole experience distasteful. Dustin, being local, provided a wealth of information about the Smoky Mountain area. He had wonderful stories and definitions of language used in the area. He said that he had scouted to find good spots for viewing color. He took us on the Foothills Parkway to a couple of overlooks where the views were great. He also took us to Elkmont, Daisy Village, I believe he said, to view the historic buildings. That did not seem to be in the description. The trip was scheduled to be five hours long. That meant he needed to stop for a food break and he picked a cafe in Townsend but had said that we could bring our own food if desired. Having a "picnic" at the cafe was not the thing to do. The only tables were at the cafe where patrons of the cafe sat and ate the food purchased in the cafe. I did not feel comfortable taking space where paying customers normally sat. The descriptin should specify that food can be purchased during the tour. The tour was acceptible only because of Dustin, who did good preparation for finding where the good views of colored leaves were, was the guide and provided much good historical and cultural information.

The colors were awful, not the services fault, but it was not worth the price we paid. The van/bus seats were very tight and uncomfortable
