The Lake View Tour is a wonderful way to get your feet wet while experiencing a helicopter flight in the Smokies. Douglas Lake covers more than 28,000 acres across three counties and has over 500 miles of shoreline. This flight will carry you over the French Broad River toward Douglas Dam and up to the edge of Mountain Cove Marina. On clear days there are beautiful panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains in the distance.

Scenic Helicopter Tours

Our Lake View flight will extend you past the French Broad River and take you out to Douglas Lake. Douglas Lake is a 33,000 acre man-made lake with over 450 miles of shoreline. This flight will get you up to 1500 feet in altitude, allowing you to get a superb view of the Great Smoky Mountains towards the South. Along the route you will see areas of farmland and quilt-like patterns of pastures. As you get closer to Douglas Lake you will fly next to Douglas Dam. On most days you are able to see the Plateau off to the Northwest that divides Tennessee and Kentucky. Includes River Ride points of interest you may see along the way: English Mountain, Boat / Jet Ski Rental Areas, Fishing / Camping and Kyker Korn Maze which is (seasonal).

I wanted to cancel it but it would refund me my money. I thought I was going on a different helicopter ride but it was the same company as the day before. I don’t think it’s fair that you don’t get to see who you are going with until you purchase the tickets. I will never do this again.

This was our family's first helicopter tour and it was fantastic! Our pilot, Philip, was great! He was friendly and helped calm my nerves. We were able to see some beautiful views of the changing leaves in the fall. The tour was super easy to book online.

First time in a helicopter and it was amazing. The pilot was very informative and answered every question I asked. Which was alot. Will definitely do again and a longer trip 😄

It was so fun. The pilot was great to point out what we were seeing. The view of the mountains and lake from the helicopter was beautiful. Check in was easy and the staff were all helpful.

My wife and I wanted to have a date where we did something different. She had suggested this, and I said let’s do it. We paid $180 for a 6 minute tour, which was fine because we would have paid that anyways on our date. I will say it did its job, because we said next time we want to spend more to do a longer tour. We will be back.

It was a short ride but a great experience. When in the area you all should take a ride. Seeing the beautiful landscape from sky is breathtaking.

Everyone was so amazing and friendly! We did the river tour and next time we will do longer! They explained everything well, they took affordable pictures with great quality and again all the guys were soo nice! Absolutely recommend and will be back when we vacation in future

The staff on ground was amazing and very friendly. They took the time to explain everything and made you very comfortable. Our Pilot was JD... took time to explain and made us feel safe. Pointed out the various landmarks and made it a really enjoyable flight
