  We did the Carpenter’s Rock hike, which is labeled as “hard”. It definitely had some challenging pieces, but nothing that would cause most people to much trouble. Our guide, Ric, was amazing, sharing information about the island from the time he picked us up at our resort to the time he dropped us off. The views were amazing! This is a great way to get some exercise and see some of the island.

  We very much enjoyed our hike and the beautiful views at the top were worth the effort! Rick was a great conversationalist and since it waa just the two of us on the excursion, he was flexible in our abilities, interests, and questions.

  

  

  

  

  

• Great way to experience and learn more about Antigua

  I did two hikes with Dwight during my stay in Antigua and both were fantastic. Dwight is super knowledgeable about the island history, flora and fauna. First we went to Fort Berkeley and Nelson's Dockyard. This was a 3 mile hike with some great views of the coast and the dockyard. The next hike was planned to be up Signal Hill, but because I was the only one on and I have a disproportionate appetite for adventure, we went along Rendezvous Trail instead. We made our way through the forest to Rendezvous Beach and back. This was a more challenging, 6 mile hike with some steep inclines I thoroughly enjoyed both outings and would definitely book with Trek Tours again.

  What an experience! Rick was a fantastic guide with knowledge of the vegetation and history of the island. The hike is reasonable for most hikers. Rick was thoughtful throughout the hike pointing out potential hazrds. Trying the local beer is a must!

  Amazing hike to Fort Berkeley. From the moment Dwight picked me up he gave all the info about the island that I could have ever wanted. I am a solo traveler and was fortunate to be the only one on this tour due to low season. He was patient and helped me along the trail and we stopped for many water breaks. He was very knowledgeable about the island and its history. I will be doing this tour again when I come. Highly recommend!

  Had so much fun. Dwight the guide was very well versed in the eco-system of the island and it's rich history. Taught me all about the flora and fauna that are native to the area and how it has changed since the colonial era. Dwight was very accommodating and outgoing as we hiked to the top of Signal Hill and then went ziplining. Would recommend this excursion to anyone with an adventurous Spirit

  Our hike with Dwight was absolutely amazing! Dwight is so knowledgeable and experienced. He made us feel safe and shared a great deal of information about the island with us. We booked the “easy” hike to Pillars of Hercules. Dwight said it’s easy and more like a walk. We were a little disappointed when he said it was a walk, because we did want a hike and boy did we get it! I’m 52 and even though I walk quite a bit at home, this was no walk. We walked up and then down hilly, rocky trails, which was so worth it for the views at the top. Getting to the Pillars of Hercules involved climbing over and around a bunch of big rocks and boulders. Definitely not easy and while it was challenging, it was so worth every bit! I have bad knees and ankles so while I struggled some, Dwight made sure I was safe and never rushed us, showing us the safest route. Dwight is an incredible guide and this is a must do excursion!

  Thank you for the wonderful hike yesterday morning! I thoroughly enjoyed Rick's company, and I enjoyed our conversation too. The views up on the highest points of the trek were breathtaking! We could see Montserrat in the distance, as it was quite a clear morning. We passed beautiful wild flora and fauna, including flowering cactus and sheep and goats. We passed a few fellow hikers along the way too. I would definitely recommend this hike, a group brisk morning exercise whilst seeing some of the beautiful sights of Antigua, including Shirley Heights, English Harbour etc. Thank you for a Saturday morning well spent!
