  The tour was amazing, the guids had all the info you could imaging. The trial itself was really good and they will keep an eye on everyone, so everyone can enjoy the trip aswell.

  A unique, extraordinary and unforgettable experience!! Thanks to Erasmo and Ecotours Darien, I was immensely lucky to be able to discover this magical place that is the Darien, to share a hike over 3 days with 2 other tourists in the jungle, to sleep there accompanied and guided by an experienced and attentive team. Every day was an enchantment .. even on a rather technical course😉 Incredible encounters, discoveries in this pristine and protected nature. Then the arrival in the village of Playa Muerto was a celebration! Welcomed by the Emberas community with so much warmth and smiles. These people are filled with love and kindness. Living among them will remain in my memories, an experience also very moving.   We had a great stay of 4 days and 3 nights in the Darien in Playa Muerto in the Embera community with Erasmo and Guillermo. It was a total immersion. Erasmo organized everything very well. We were able to discover a more traditional facet of Panama. With Guillermo, they accompanied us perfectly in our adventure, explaining to us the smallest details about fauna, flora, Panamanian society and of course the Embera community that welcomed us with open arms. Not to mention a great fishing party!! We really felt like a family. This is an experience I recommend 100%.

  We had an amazing time hiking through the Darien Jungle. Our two guides Guillermo and Kil were excellent and complimented eachother very well. We felt safe throughout the entire trip and they pointed out all the things we were interested in. We especially enjoyed the daily exploration sessions where we had time to fully focus on the beauty and the wildlife of the jungle. The trip is a once in a lifetime experience and definitely worth it.

  EcoTours, Darien - runs from a local ranch with 2 cabins to accommodate up to 8 people. The ranch is located close to river. Excellent place for bid watching. Caimans in the river. Erasmo and his wife Elsie, both, enthusiastic and excellent bird-watchers with several years of combined experience of guiding jungle tours. Took us out into local river and countryside to see birds and reptiles. We stayed at the ranch itself. We did not go on long hike tours or camping out as we had less time on hand. We availed of only a 2 night 3 days stay at the ranch only. This short trip fulfilled all our expectations. Family-like atmosphere at the ranch. Lovely people. Great food. They even let my wife cook one night for all of us (yes, with assistance from the hosts). We saw birds, caimans. Almost (yes, but, only almost) saw a large cat also. Yes, I am a large cat enthusiast. Jaguars and Puma and medium sized cats are my favorites. There are jaguars, puma and ocelots in the jungle, a short distance away from the ranch. You could possibly see on day, although highly unlikely. But still, you could. We missed seeing one by a whisker. We did not go on deeper jungle tours but for sure, Erasmo and his wife are capable of taking several days tours out into the Darien with ability to provide an excellent experience of jungle adventures and tours which we could see Erasmo loves to run but we preferred to rest at the ranch and enjoy short walks to forest and river. And, how could you forget affordability. For tourists of all shades and prices, very affordable. Go ahead and make a dip into the jungle with EcoTours. Dont forget, the trips you make with EcoTours, you are indirectly funding, nursing and protecting the wildlife and the jungle. Erasmo and his family live in the Darien. You are nurturing local ecotourism of the poorest province of Panama with some of the world's best forested area!

  One of the best experiences I have ever had. It is not just a trekking, a tour or a walk. Elsie and Erasmo's knowledge allows you to enjoy nature, learn about and observe birds, set up your camp, catch shrimp, etc. The final destination is a paradise, and the community embraces us with its customs. I will return, because even if we were the same group, it will always be a different experience.

  I highly recommend Ecotour Darien and this itinerary to Playa Muertos. Ecotour Darien is based in the province, indigenous-owned and flexible. Even though he was already booked for a different itinerary with other clients, Erasmo helped arrange for a local guide, Quil, to accompany me to Playa Muertos. The jungle trek was challenging but I felt like I was in good hands with the guide. The scenery was stunning and sleeping in a hammock deep in the jungle was an experience that I will never forget. Playa Muertos is easily one of the most remote and magical places that I has d ever visited in my life. The people were kind and welcoming. The food was plentiful and delicious. Lots of fresh fish. The sleeping area was clean and comfortable and there was even a bathroom hit with a shower and flush toilet just for guests. I was happy that I spent three nights in the village in order to soak up the atmosphere, do some activities (like basket making and body painting with ink from the jagua fruit) and take interesting side trips. As a solo woman traveler, I always felt safe with the guide and in the village. I would love to do a trip with Ecotour Darien again.

  It was just amazing. Erasmo is a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. The Embara community is very welcoming and has a lot to teach us. I feel that they made me a better person. Thank you for an unforgettable experience, the friendship and the care.

  Incredible experience. Just everything,from the organisation, safety to the stay in Playa Muerto and the trekking. If you love nature the agency to choose for Darien. I recommend if you want a jungle trek experience

  Huge thanks to Erasmo, Alexis, Ada and the whole team for an amazing experience. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn a little about the Embera and their traditions, and to appreciate the amazing wildlife in this beautiful, and unspoilt rainforest. Would highly recommend.
