Tripoli is Lebanon's most underrated city — a place that travelers who have been there consistently rank higher than they expected, and that travelers who skipped it consistently regret. This guided small-group day trip pairs it with Batroun, one of the oldest Phoenician coastal towns on the Mediterranean, for a full day in Lebanon's north with everything included: guide, lunch at Hallab 1881, and all entrance tickets.
In Tripoli: a Crusader citadel with nine centuries of history in its walls, two Mamluk mosques where Gothic stonework is still visible in the 14th-century facade, an hour in one of the most authentically preserved medieval souks in the Arab world, and a traditional soap factory that has been operating in the same khan for generations. In Batroun: a charming Phoenician old town, a 3,000-year-old sea wall still standing on the beach, and a glass of Hilmi's lemonade to close the day. No extras. No surprises.

Great trip to Tripoli and Batroun with Albert yesterday. I really enjoyed the pace that Albert expertly took me through all the best places. It was a great insight to Lebanese history and culture, Albert’s deep historical knowledge enriched the experience greatly. The length of the trip was perfect too. Also, the included lunch was incredible. Sometimes lunch on these things can be risky - this one, amazing. Highly recommend!

I went on this tour today with Albert the tour guide who was fantastic! He is very informative about Tripoli and Batroun. He is also very passionate about the Lebanon so you will be lucky to get him as your guide! We started off our day from our hotel and visited the Citadel and souk at Tripoli. We then went to the lovely town of Batroun where we had a great lunch at the Armenian kebab shop Great day out!!!!

Visited the area on new year's day. Due to international issues, felt that the guide was rushing the day for safety. Overall it was ok, the rainy weather again dampened the day.
