  Incredible time Husky sledding! It was our favourite experience during our stay in Tromso. Everything was very well organised, the staff were excellent, and the dogs were brilliant!

  This was definitely our Tromso highlight! The dogs were very well looked after and the staff were so open and keen to answer questions all about the dogs. It was great to hear that any dogs which don’t fancy it are rehomed to families! The experience itself was great. You were on the sledge for a great amount of time and got lots of time with the dogs afterwards. This was our favourite thing we did in tromso!

  Great and fun experience to drive the sled with the dogs … the instructor gave good safety instructions prior to the drive. Interactions with the Alaskan Huskies was fun too. Enjoy it! I would recommend.

  Wow! The excitement of the dogs, the stunning scenery, and the cold, made this an amazing experience. As mentioned in the tour details, it is hard work, especially going up hill, or when the dogs decide they want to go in the opposite direction to the ones they are supposed to be following! I stood firmly on the hard brake but they were so strong it was impossible for me to stop them quick enough before they took the wrong turn. I had (wronly) expected that the sled would have an experienced dog handler on it with you, but that was not the case. I 'drove' for approximately 20 minutes, then swapped with a lady I had been paired with - who also had no experience. She drove for about 30 minutes, and was far better than me, and then we swapped again for the last 10-15 minutes. The company provides thermal all-in-one suits, and thick boots, but I still had four layers of clothing underneath.

  - A remarkable experience especially hearing 140 Alaskan huskies welcoming you! And then driving your own sled through the stunning fields and woods, bordering the fjord. We also spotted the Northern Lights which was good for some of the people in our group who hadn’t spotted them even after several lights tours. But there was no time to photograph them. Although the passenger has plenty of opportunity to take photos and videos during the run. - 30 minutes drive from Tromso in a mini bus, 15 people in our group - Booked with Arctic Adventure Tours via GetYourGuide. - We changed into super warm one-piece snow suits and thick soled boots provided (both essential) - Given instruction into driving and most importantly controlling the sled and dogs. 5 dogs if males, 6 dogs if females. Concentrate! It’s important to judge the braking carefully so as not to run into sledge in front or lose the tension on the reins so they get tangled. - 60-70 minutes is quite a long time as it is quite physical. But you get to swap drivers a couple of times. It may be easier with more snow and less melting snow and ruts. The dogs know where to go anyway. If you aren’t in twos they pair you up. - The owner lady who started training huskies as a hobby is super passionate about her dogs and gave us her presentation personally which was impressive not to be delegating this. And we were able to find out lots about the dogs and cuddle many dogs out in the yard, all of them very friendly and well looked after. - Cake and hot drinks during the talk in the Sami Lavuu (tent/teepee). - So good, husband now wants to do a one week sledding tour in the Arctic Circle…

  Absolutely awesome experience. Clear and friendly instruction about how to handle the sledge/dogs. Plenty of time on the sledge and then delicious cake after. Equipment all good and staff extra helpful when a member of our party left stuff behind and they sorted getting back to us. Thanks so much

  We had a fantastic experience dog sledding. We met the furry fellas pulling our sledge and all their friends. So friendly and extremely well cared for which was a concern of mine. They were all healthy and happy. I was nervous to start with but I needn’t have been the dogs knew exactly where they were going and pulled like a freight train. The guides were so well informed, experienced, safe and really cared about the dogs. They were fantastic. The cake and hot chocolate afterwards was a welcome addition to the trip as we all learned some more about the husky’s before being taken back to the coach. A fantastic trip, so picturesque and well worth it.

  This experience was extremely unique for us as Australians. The staff were extremely accommodating and ensured your time was relaxing and fun. After our lengthy dog sledding we got a greatly appreciated hot chocolate, cake and some interesting information about the dogs life within the camp. I would highly recommended this experience to any traveller

  What an amazing experience! we got to ride our own sled and see all of the gorgeous sled dogs 🐾 the hot chocolate afterwards was so good too! 🤎the only work on point i would give is that it was quite rushed before and after the sledding, it would’ve been nice to have been introduced to the dogs a bit more and have more time to meet them etc! But over all, still a 5⭐️ experience! One i will never forget! 🤍

  What a epic time! We did this excursion at the recommendation of some people we met hunting the northern lights. They suggested this over reindeer feeding and they were so right! We went in the early afternoon so had to use headlamps in the twilight. We were pleasantly surprised that we still could see plenty for most of our ride. We also had a little snow and then an amazing sunset sighting up the clouds over Tromso. Turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! Expensive but highly recommended!
