A Summer Night Campfire is a small-group tour for those, who wish to enjoy watching the never-ending sunset of the arctic summer nights in a cosy atmosphere. The tour takes you to the beautiful islands on the west side of Tromsø with fjords, mountains and the Norwegian sea. During the evening you'll experience the midnight sun by sitting in front of a campfire having warm home-made seasonal vegetable stew.

Please be prepared for limited toilet facilities, there will be a gas station stop during the drive, however the camp itself is in the wild Arctic nature where the only toilet possibilities are in the forest (there are no pre-built facilities

This tour gives you a chance to forget the rush and get fully into a holiday mode and relax. You'll be picked up from the city centre, from where we'll head to the coast, west side of Tromsø. The group size is maximum 8 people, which guarantees an intimate and cosy experience for everyone. We'll drive to a nice location on the islands in Tromsø area and set up a camp on a beach. The guide will prepare you a warm meal on a bonfire while you can chill out and enjoy the Arctic. All this while having the amazing nature and the beautiful shades of summer light around us. This is an experience of a lifetime.

1.00I can say very few words aboutcthe experienco because the activity was cancelled the they before because there were no enough people interested in it. I understand that everything is business but, maybe, you should think that you can compensate the time you have more customers than mininum with those when you have less customers. It would be necessary to ensure customers' satisfaction. If you don't do so, all the system of tours reservations may disappear.

5.00This tour ended up being the highlight of our incredible time in Tromsø. Ellie and Jenna were just fabulous in making sure all the guests were comfortable. I booked this tour as soon as I had planned my holiday and knew the one I didn't want to miss was a chance to enjoy an incredible sunset, and I'm so glad I booked with the Wandering Owl. They made the whole trip wonderfully memorable, from the views to the food to the conversation and the drive - everything was impeccable, with Ellie and Jenna as the perfect hosts. Thank you for everything, including the excellent photos you guys took!

5.00Ellie was a FABULOUS tour guide! We loved being able to follow some reindeer, watching a group of dolphins frolic in the bay, and enjoy some great food and conversation. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour!

5.00Our tour guide found an excellent spot for us to camp out. Since it is a small group, we got to know other people in our group well. I recommend this tour 100%.

5.00Excellent tour and way to see the fjords near Tromso! We even saw reindeer on the side of the road. Our guide Afghani was terrific. We had a beautiful drive through the fjords to a gorgeous beach. The food was delicious. It was a fantastic experience.

5.00The guides made every effort to make it an enjoyable experience. Had the experience of a campfire and barbecue on the beach. It was a very suitable distance to travel and location perfect for seeing the sun above the horizon at midnight. We had a beautiful sunny evening and the pictures and experience was amazing. We also stopped to photograph reindeer at 01.00 in the morning on the way back!

5.00I recently embarked on the Midnight Sun Campfire Tour from Tromsø with Wandering Owl Tours. Our hosts, Ellie and Evgeni, were informative, genial and professional. Pick up for our small group tour (7 guests) was on time and easy for the drive out to a beach where they cooked us dinner over the campfire and taught us how to bake our own bread as we watched the midnight sun not set! Fabulous night, awesome setting, beautiful experience! Not on the itinerary, but very much appreciated, was when Ellie pulled over after spotting reindeer on the way home so we could jump out and take some pics. I can highly recommend this tour!

5.00Anthony, our guide , was friendly and knowledgeable about Norway and the Tromso area in particular. He was very engaging and did a fine job. The site we visited for our campfire was a very beautiful sand beach with fabulous views. Three reindeer were even taking a respite on beach while we were there. Would highly recommend this tour.
