One of the world’s oldest art museums, the Uffizi was built by architect Giorgio Vasari in the 16th century to house government offices. It was only later that the building was used to showcase art collected by Florence’s ruling Medici family, and not until 1769 that it was turned into a public museum. The repository of more 1,500 works dating from Greek times to the 18th century, the core of the Uffizi is its unmissable collection of Renaissance art. Your tour concentrates on these, as your guide leads you around the highlights of the Renaissance rooms, home to great works by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and others. 5.00Excellent tour, especially if you do not have an art history background. Stefano was engaging and extremely knowledgeable. It was the perfect blend of seeing the highlights and learning the history behind the artists. This museum would have felt overwhelming without the guided tour. Thank you!!

4.00This isn’t really a skip the line situation. It certainly did help to have a guide but there is still quite a line. It felt like too many people are given the same time. The place was packed and getting in felt chaotic. Our guide was very good but showed a limited number of items with detail. It would have been nice to have a bit more guidance on how to tackle the rest of the museum.

5.00Amazing experience I will never forget. Highly recommend this booking so you can learn the context behind the famous historic pieces vs. without one. It's a once in a lifetime experience, so just do it if you can.

5.00Seeing the Uffizi with a guide like Annette made the experience so much more rewarding. She took us through all the main “must see” works, as well as others. Annette did a great job job putting things in context, and explaining things that we wouldn’t have known had we done the gallery on our own. Highly recommend this tour,
