Prefer not to feel like cattle? Gabriel’s Ohana is a small family owned and operated company. We provide a quality of customer service unmatched. Our guides pride themselves on the ability to cater each tour to the individual.
Are you new to snorkeling or nervous in the ocean? Are you not a great swimmer or can't swim at all? We at Gabriel's Ohana are excited to show you a whole new world. Our guides have become know for their patience and kindness in sharing this experience with people just like you. We provide fitted life vests from sm-xxxl, they have under the leg straps that keep the vest centered so you are very buoyant in the water. You can just float around and enjoy the view. The guides have even been know to hold hands the entire tour for a very nervous few.
This tour is also great for experienced snorkelers. Olowalu Reef is very vast! So much to explore!
How long is the snorkel tour? You decide!
We don't watch the clock so you can enjoy snorkeling as long as you like!

Our guides will accompany you out over Maui’s oldest reef system in Olowalu. There you will see a variety of corals and sea life including honu, our green sea turtles. The guides will find creatures you can touch and interact with. New to snorkeling? Our guides are very patient and kind when working with guests who are new to snorkeling or just nervous in the water. They will stay by your side and even hold your hand as they guide you around the reef. Not a great swimmer? We provide fitted life vests from size small to XXL. They have under the leg straps so they stay in place and keep you buoyant in the water. Each vest is equipped with a whistle and pass coast guard standards. 5.00Thank you to Gabriel’s Ohana for an amazing experience! I was nervous about snorkeling with my 12 year old for the first time, and they put my mind at ease right away. They were incredibly caring and attentive to everyone, and they kept a close eye on my son to make sure he was safe. Unforgettable, beautiful, and educational! 10/10 mahalo ❤️

5.00Gabriel’s Ohana is an amazing company to choose for snorkeling. Jason was such a calm, easy-going guide. He made me feel comfortable with it being my very first time snorkeling! I told him I just wanted to see a turtle and he went and found 4 of them for me to see! We even saw a cute monk seal relaxing on the beach. Such a magical experience that I will never forget.

5.00Awesome experience, can not recommend enough! Extremely in depth guide of the corals off the beach. Unfortunately (and this is beyond the guides control), the corals close to shore are bleached, but there is still lots of sea life to see!

5.00Best experience so far! This is our first time me and my 13 yo daughter. Gabriel Ohana crew made it feel like a breeze! The guide was super supportive and patient in explaining everything holding our hands. The Santa looking big guy with flowing white beard and 50 yrs of experience your in safe hands. He knows what he’s doing! Middle of the ocean he kept showing us the special plants and flowers. Each time he goes in like a jeanie grabs something magical! So much fun! He took my daughter with him all the way to show her 3 turtles. I got hang of snorkeling in just few minutes and went all over the ocean by myself looking at beautiful fishes and magical coral reefs. Couldn’t believe this is our first time with very basic 5ft pool swimming skills lol. Olowalu is definitely very friendly not so busy beach nothing intimidating here! if Snorkeling has been on your list like mine and haven’t got a chance yet guys this is the place to get started! Good quality life jackets keeps intact with 3-way plugs. I was in the middle of ocean just by myself! They’re not rushing. He lets you start shallow at easy pace then take deeper with him. If you are not comfortable he will ask you to stay there. Small group so you get personal attention. highly recommend this magical experience! After 2.5 hours of snorkeling definitely you are hungry. highly recommend checking out local trucks and smoothie at Maui butterfly farms just a mile back from snorkeling point. We went to Leoda’s Pie and Sandwiches was so good! lots of vegan options too! my daughter loved the fresh fish sandwich and traditional chocolate coconut pie and fresh baked cookies there!

5.00We were so grateful we chose this tour! I’m a bit claustrophobic and felt anxious at the beginning, but both the owner and Costanza helped me overcome my fear. It was also our kids’ first time, but they’re strong swimmers and felt completely comfortable from the start. Gabriel’s dad (sorry, we forgot his name!) was an incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and sweet instructor! Aloha, guys!

5.00Best snorkeling experience! The team was extremely patient and friendly. There was absolutely no rush in the entire session. Great equipment, they were there supporting the entire time. They made my kids so comfortable, my 8 year old enjoyed it thoroughly!. Highly recommend them. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
