  The tour experience with Jorge was exceptional. We took the all day private tour but was back at our accommodation at after 5pm. He was friendly , easy going and very knowledgeable of the of island, culture, history, and ecology. Jorge took us off the beaten touristic paths such as through the mountains with old roads made by hand, eucalyptus forests - the fragrance was cool freshness and minty. The mist and gentle rain made it enchanting. This included sites is a must such as the laurel forest in Fanal, Seixal, and many waterfalls and Porto Moniz. We had lunch booked at a restaurant where you can order from the menu or choose from the fresh catch of the day. I will highly recommend taking private tour for more of personal experience for couples, small families and friends and easier to manage yourself and you can customise it or just go with the flow the key flexibility. The landscape of dramatic, epic and breathing taking. We still had room to purchase souvenirs. I will do this again!

  You must book a 4x4 day trip with Jorge. We spent seven incredible hours exploring dramatic mountain passes, forests, valleys, and jaw-dropping coastal viewpoints that you simply can't reach any other way. Every moment felt like a genuine adventure — thrilling and exciting, yet always in safe, expert hands. What truly makes this experience special is Jorge himself. His knowledge of the island is extraordinary and natural friendliness made the whole day feel like exploring with a trusted friend rather than a tour guide. He tailored the trip to be family friendly. Seven hours flew by, leaving us with memories we'll never forget.

  We had an amazing time on our tour with Jorge , he is such a nice friendly guy and very knowledgeable about the island , he took us to a very nice restaurant for lunch which done amazing food , we got to see so many stunning views and places on the tour , we had so much fun during the tour and it was a very enjoyable day and would highly recommend it and Jorge.. thank you and would most definitely book again when we return to Maderia and we will definitely return

  We had a great day out. The drive was fun, especially the off road part, we saw lots of sites and it was very informative. It ended up being just us on the tour so that worked out great for us. I don't know what happened to the biscuits and poncha from the listing though.

  Great day out. Jorge was good fun great driver and made us feel safe at all times. Trip made stops in really difficult places to park if we had driven ourselves. Highly recommended to see bits of Madeira in the guide book and definitely bits that were not.

  We had a great and action packed day out! Our guide Jorge was really friendly and knowledgeable and he showed us lots of great sights around the West and up through the mountains. We had fun with the off roading and had lots of time to explore and enjoy each spot that we stopped at. We can’t believe how much we packed in to this day!   We had the pleasure of spending the day with Jorge on our recent visit to Madeira. We booked through get my guide and to be honest we were expecting a crammed jeep with the max number of guests at the price. But we were happily surprised that we were a group of 4 in a very comfortable jeep. We found Jorge to be a great informative tour guide and a brilliant driver taking us up and down some very steep tiny roads. He handled the off road with expertise and we found it so much fun. We had lovely weather and we visited some stunning places, we never felt rushed at any point. It was also wonderful to taste a proper Poncha freshly made by Jorge with stunning views. It was our first Poncha of our trip but it certainly wasn't our last.

  We had an amazing day with Jorge. He was knowledgeable and a very careful and considerate driver. The ‘off-road’ where we could stand to experience the best views through the roof was so much fun! Jorge is a really nice guy. He made us poncha and homemade biscuits, which were both delicious! Would definitely recommend this trip.

  It was a amazing tour. Jorge the driver told us a lot about madeira and was very friendly. He is on his own, so not a big group. He even told the passengers to switch places. And drive very carefully.
