• An amazing adventure to Upper Mustang

  My wife and I just spent the most amazing two weeks on our trip to Upper Mustang with Global Holiday Adventures. From my very first inquiry, Samsher, the boss, was very fast and thorough in answering my questions. The trip to Mustang was exceptional. Our guide was Pema Tenzin, who was born and raised in the capital of Lo Monthang. Being a local and a Tibetan Buddhist himself made all the difference in the world as far as learning about the culture, history, and landscape of Mustang. We were able to meet and mix with locals, visit monasteries and meet monks, visit old houses and see how the locals live, as other tours who don’t use local guides would never be able to do. Since I had trekked there in 2014, I knew many things to see. We took several days traveling to Lo from Jomson and stayed in Ghami and Tsarang on the way. We took an extra day to visit the cave monastery of Luri Gompa, a very important pilgrimage site. Because of Pema’s contacts, we were joined by Dawa Lama, an art restorer of many important monasteries, especially Thubchen in Lo Monthang. Although not a guide, he was able to show us important details in the monastery art in Luri Gompa. Our jeep driver was Prakash Kadel, a very experienced man who took us on some rather precarious roads off the beaten track. We never were scared or worried. Well, hardly ever. I can’t recommend Global Holiday Adventures enough for a jeep trek to Upper Mustang. From the time I reached out to Samsher, he was super detailed in response and gave full clarity on all queries and made perfect arrangements throughout the trip.   Unforgettable trip, very well organized by Samsher, the boss of global holidays Adventure. The guide Tsering and the driver made my dream of visiting the mustang come true, cheering up the trip and realizing it with extreme professionalism and availability. Unique in courtesy, truly sweet.   Did the upper mustang trail by trekking. Good views, accomodation was well selected and the porters were very helpful (I only carried my day bag). Best part of our trip was our guide, Babu as he was not only accomodating but also made friends with the group. 10/10 would recommend. Enjoy the power of Dal Baht :)

  I contacted Surya Thapa 1 year before my scheduled holiday. His swift response and proposal made it easy to decide what kind of adventure we seek in this amazing country. Within 1 week, I confirmed his service. To my surprise, he never pressure his potential guest for payment or any kind like that. We decided to go for Upper Mustang 4WD Jeep Tour after seeing almost untouched Himalayan landscape. Few days before my flight, I asked quote for EBC Helicopter tour since we have free time in Kathmandu. His quote is fast and at reasonable price. The experience was amazing, no words can describe the massive magical mountains in this country without hiking. Again, we decided to go for ABC Helicopter tour in Pokhara, and the experience is very different from EBC as it has 360 degree view of the mountains. The ground staff service is professional and excellent. We would like to take this opportunity to say how grateful we are to have Surya, his partner Samsher assisting us on all the needs in Nepal. But not forgetting very important men, Chhiring T Lama, the most down to earth guide we ever met, by treating us as family. Not only showing us the best scenery of Nepal but also beautiful people in his homeland. And Subash, with good instinct by stopping his car without asked, whenever he sensed we would like to take good pictures. We enjoyed the road trip though it was bumpy and choppy because you don't make destination but journey. We miss you both!!! already.

• The Best Way to Experience Upper Mustang with Motorbike

  We were four friends and we took three bikes when the fourth did it in a jeep The organization was perfect, we had three staff members. They took care of us for everything from motorcycle cleaning, clutch replacement and filters. Until we put our bags in the room every night and load them on the jeep every morning while we eat breakfast. Highly recommended We did this tour of Upper Mustang with motorbike!

  Self-driving our own 4x4 to Lo-Manthang (Upper Mustang) was a dream that developed when I came to know about it 4 years back. But it seemed it was impossible for Bengalis like us to conquer the harshest terrain of the Himalayas on own vehicle. Impossible it seemed. But when I contacted GHA, to extend their help to realise my dream.....I wasn't disappointed. They extended their professional support in a really "more than professional manner" & today on the day of 22, November 2021, as I sit on my comfy corner at my home in Calcutta after successfully conquering Upper Mustang, I must applaud Team GHA (specially our guide Sange Sherpa, who was by our side like always 👏👏👏). Keep up your great work Team GHA....let many others realise their dream through you as well 👍🏻
