Saint Peter’s Basilica is subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
On Wednesdays, due to the Papal Audiences, access to St Peter's Basilica is not possible in the morning.
Please note all participant names and date of birth are required at the time of booking in order to join this tour. If we do not receive this information, we will cancel the booking. Every customer is required to carry a valid ID that matches the name on the ticket, or an entry will be refused. Name changes are not permitted once the booking is confirmed.
Please be advised that this tour option is non-refundable, with no cancellations or date changes allowed due to pre-purchased tickets. It is mandatory to bring a valid ID or Passport for security checks, and entry will not be granted without proper documentation.
The Evening Tour option does not include the access to St Peter's Basilica and consists of a 2-hour guided tour of the Vatican Museums.

5.00Amy was a fantastic tour guide who really cared that we had a memorable experience! Her knowledge, humor and enthusiasm for this tour was quite admirable. Amy even had replicas of the paintings in the Sistine Chapel so we would know what we were looking at BEFORE we entered. She’s so impressive! My only big disappointment/ regret was not being told that if you chose to take a restroom break, it could severely limit your time in there. It was advertised as 15 minutes inside the chapel but was only about 5 minutes at the most. My main goal for booking this tour was to see this famous chapel once again. It was not really her fault because of the crowds and she wanted us to get to see St.Peters. But just mentioning this as feedback her and for other tour guides who do this.

5.00Brilliant guided tour of the museums, sistine chapel and basicilla. Booked through viator, taken by city wonders, they kept in touch via message with all the detials, and a link for directions to the meeting point, very handy and took us straight there, leave yourself plenty of time to get there if taking a taxi out, our traffic was crazy.. check in was seemless and quick, we had Leo, he was a fantastic tour guide, very easy listened too and knew his stuff, kept the 3hr tour moving, pointed out some nice little extra details to pay attention too also along the way. Highly recommeded tour when visiting Rome

5.00Loreley was absolutely the most knowledgeable guide we have ever had on ANY excursion. Her enthusiasm was remarkable. Not to mention navigating the crowds & ensuring that no one was left behind (LOL). It's tough to see all that the Vatican Museums, Chapel and Basilica have to offer, but she did a fantastic job. Our three-hour tour ran closer to five, which was fine, as it was our only excursion that day. We hired a car afterward to see some of the other magnificent attractions in Rome.

5.00Going to the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's will always be crowded. It was completely jammed with people and tours. However, our guide, Laura, was excellent with her commentary and instructions. She made the crowded situation bearable.
