Saint Peter’s Basilica is subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
On Wednesdays, due to the Papal Audiences, access to St Peter's Basilica is not possible until 1pm
Please note all participant names and date of birth are required at the time of booking in order to join this tour. If we do not receive this information, we will cancel the booking. Every customer is required to carry a valid ID that matches the name on the ticket, or an entry will be refused. Name changes are not permitted once the booking is confirmed.
Please be advised that this tour option is non-refundable, with no cancellations or date changes allowed due to pre-purchased tickets. It is mandatory to bring a valid ID or Passport for security checks, and entry will not be granted without proper documentation.
The Evening Tour option does not include the access to St Peter's Basilica and consists of a 2-hour guided tour of the Vatican Museums.

5.00This was very well organised. All the instructions were very clear and able to follow before the tour. Alex our guide was brilliant, very knowledgable, very informative, funny and charismatic. She knew after one introduction where we all came from and brought to our attention connections with some of those certain countries. The tour was very well laid out and thankfully due to the time of year less busy and very smooth. The group size was just right and we were able to access everything we wanted to. The audio equipment worked well and we were able to hear very clearly. Alex’s English and pronunciation is very good and clear. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole event and would recommend this to anyone wanting to do this tour.

5.00We had a great experience with Silvia as our guide. She was incredibly informative and gave the best details and descriptions throughout the tour. Her explanation of how the Sistine Chapel was created and Michelangelo’s struggles and trimphs are unmatched! Would highly suggest this tour with Silvia!!

5.00Cosimo had passionate details of all things Vatican, right down to how they chose the Swiss guards. I have been on many tours and this one was one of my most favorite. Cosimo knew so many interesting and memorable details of the visit. He really made things relatable. He obviously has a passion for Italian history which made his presentation so much more enjoyable. My favorite part of the tour was his explanation of Michelangelo’s Pieta. He really made things relatable for Mary. As a mother, he made me feel her pain and loss. I learned so many things on the tour that I will remember always! I cannot recommend him or this tour enough!
