Saint Peter’s Basilica is subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
On Wednesdays, due to the Papal Audiences, access to St Peter's Basilica is not possible until 1pm
Please note all participant names and date of birth are required at the time of booking in order to join this tour. If we do not receive this information, we will cancel the booking. Every customer is required to carry a valid ID that matches the name on the ticket, or an entry will be refused. Name changes are not permitted once the booking is confirmed.
Please be advised that this tour option is non-refundable, with no cancellations or date changes allowed due to pre-purchased tickets. It is mandatory to bring a valid ID or Passport for security checks, and entry will not be granted without proper documentation.
The Evening Tour option does not include the access to St Peter's Basilica and consists of a 2-hour guided tour of the Vatican Museums.

5.00This was exactly what we wanted. From the moment I saw Flavia. I knew she was going to be amazing. She took us to the right spots and told us the right stories. She handled the group well. The tour is perfect. Just do it. We didn’t wait for the climb to the top. The line was so long. Just FYI. But the rest was perfect. Thanks to City Tours also.

5.00This is the second time I have had Fabio as my tour guide and both experiences were great. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about the venue! He was very informative and easy to understand. He even had to do the tour in two languages and didn’t miss a beat! Thank you for such an amazing introduction to Rome!

5.00Our guide, Sophia, was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and gave us information on what we were seeing and where we were going before we even entered the Vatican. She pointed out important things to look for throughout and gave us a lot of historical context as well. Even our 15 year old son enjoyed it!

5.00The tour was fantastic and my guide Oksana was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing all the little details while traveling through the three locations. The crowd for mid march was a little large bit the headsets they provide ensured you didn't miss any of the commentary from the guide. I highly recommend the tour.

5.00Booked our trip through Viator and the tour was through a local company “City Wonders”. Our guide Cosmo was fabulous! Mixed humor with history (he was very knowledgeable) and made the tour very fun! Massive skip the line to get into the Sistine Chapel was much appreciated! Highly recommend this company and Cosmo!
