On arrival at the Boma, guests are warmly welcomed and dressed in a traditional robe to set the mood for an authentic African cultural experience. The Boma is a partially open-air restaurant, allowing you to dine under the African sky while enjoying the vibrant sights, sounds, and energy of Zimbabwean culture. Before dinner begins, you are invited to take part in a traditional hand-washing ceremony, followed by a taste of local traditional brew as a symbolic welcome. You are then seated for a generous four-course feast featuring a wide selection of traditional and game-inspired dishes, served in the style of a grand African banquet. Throughout the evening, guests enjoy live drumming, singing, and cultural performances, with opportunities to join in the dancing and drumming. The whole performance was great, from the dancing to the drums. Everyone in the audience was given a drum, and we all played along with the drummers. The lead drummer taught us the technique and we all followed along. Those of wishing to dance, did so. FUN time!!! Food was good.
