The Big Tree
Standing over 1,000 years old, the Big Tree is a massive baobab located just outside Victoria Falls town. Measuring more than 20 meters high and nearly 22 meters around, it’s one of the largest and oldest trees in Zimbabwe. Travelers can admire its sheer size, learn about the cultural and ecological significance of baobabs, and capture memorable photos beside this natural giant. The Big Tree is often included as a short stop on the way to or from the Falls—a quiet moment with one of Africa’s most iconic species. The waterfalls were unbelievable, and so was the guidance. Thank you so much, Locks! This is truly a review from the heart. Such a warm-hearted person—I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her. She gives invaluable tips and genuinely loves helping people. It was just amazing, and I’m already looking forward to next time—I almost don’t want to leave!

She was very informative about the falls & was willing to answer any questions we had. She also offered to take photos at any time.
