  Great food tour with our lovely and friendly guide Noi. Had a good introduction to local foods and traditions. The markets were interesting and gave a good insight into the Laos food culture. Noi was very accommodating and we didn’t feel rushed, however we were a bit late for the ice cream shop so didn’t get dessert. This didn’t bother us, perhaps we should have been pushed along a bit more to stay on time. We have only taken one star off as sometime it wasn’t clear if we were being asked if we wanted to try some food as part of the tour or buy it ourselves. Some feedback would be to have a clearer itinerary of foods we will try rather than asking us what we would like. That’s what we have been use to on other tours. I think with a couple of tweaks this could be an even better tour.

  A little bit of culture and a lot of cuisine. I highly recommend the fried meal worms and crickets. They cook them differently in Laos because these were delicious; much better than the 'same' dish that I had in Bangkok a few years ago. This tour was a good introduction to Laos and Vientiane

  This was a great introduction to Vientiane and an easy way to navigate the city and try Laotian food. This was a great activity for one night in Vientiane and our guide Bee was very hospitable. We recommend researching the types of food you’d like to try before the tour as it is very open and requires you to ask what food you would like to eat from the markets. We enjoyed the spring rolls, ice cream and exploring the markets where there were lots of food options. An empty stomach and open mind is beneficial!

  We organized our train tickets in Laos with BCFamilyTour, and everything went perfectly! Their team made the process very simple and saved us a lot of time. They took care of all our journeys: from Vientiane to Vang Vieng, from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang, and even from Luang Prabang to China. We also used bcfamilytour.com to book transfers between the airport and the stations, as well as a group tour in Laos, perfectly organized. Our guide was friendly, very professional and shared many interesting stories about Laos. The food during the tour was delicious! Many thanks to the whole BCFamilyTour team — we had a great experience and will be back in Laos very soon!

  Our guide was excellent and the food was delicious! I did not like that we had to pay out of pocket for some of our food! The markets were interesting and I think the guide should have a few ideas what try and it should be included in the tour.

  We always do food tours everywhere we go. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided great details. So much fun! The food was so good. It was awesome to visit two local markets. There was a nice stop at the fountain also.

  This was such an informative tour of all the Laos local cuisines. There is even some history taught. We went to several markets, and I tried several dishes. I left feeling full.

  My friend, who has been to Vientiane more than 10 times, told me: "If you come to Vientiane and don’t join the Hungry Tuk Tuk experience tour by bcfamilytour, then you haven’t truly been to Vientiane." And it’s absolutely true ! After joining this tour, we understood much more about Lao culture, the city of Vientiane, and the food culture of Laos. The Lao people are also very kind, and we could truly feel the peaceful lifestyle here.   Mr Nong was an amazing guide, really good English, and knew everything about the food, the people, history and culture. He even tried to cater for some taste likes and dislikes within the group. The driver Mr Duen, was always right on time, and the trip had a good balance of walking, eating, sightseeing, and on the tuk tuk. I highly recommend

  The tour was a lot of fun! We tried many different foods. It was interesting to see the night markets I also enjoyed seeing Vientiane at night. Great and funny guide. Speaks excellent English
