• Best way to see the Bio Bay

  This is a long experience and one that you might be able to do cheaper yourself, but why take chances. If you want to see the bioluminescent waters this is the easiest way. Hotel pickup, long ride to ferry with no narration , just music; be prepared. Forty five minute ferry ride and then they deliver you from the ferry to a nice beach for an hour and a half. Then you're taken to town for your evening meal, then its just waiting for dark so we can go see the water. It's a short but bumpy ride to the bay and then you get the payoff. The glass bottom kayak is alive with sparkling lights, your paddle stirs up a swirl of luminescense with each stroke. Stop and cup some water with your hand and watch the lights slide down your wrist. You get a lot of information about why they are here and almost nowhere else in the world in these concentrations. This is why you came, this is what you paid for. One suggestion, if you can learn how to manipulate your cell phone camera for night shots, it would be great. Your regular setting will not pick up much if any of the fantastic sights you are seeing. One person in our group got a photo that was although something like what we saw, a whole lot better than nothing.

  

  

  

  

  

• Bioluminescent Glow

  We picked this experience because we wanted to kayak in the bioluminescent water in Vieques, and this included all the transportation from San Juan- pickup from our hotel, ferry to and from Vieques, transportation on Vieques, and return and drop off back at our hotel. Our guide Neytan was easy going and professional, and made sure we stayed on schedule, which also included a lovely beach stop and time for dinner at a restaurant in town. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time. And of course, kayaking at night in the bioluminescent bay was a magical experience!

  Rafael was great for explaining our timeline as we had a shuttle, ferry, van to catch. The beach time was relaxing with Rafael proving beverages and fruit. The beach and water were perfect. Then we headed to a little town to explore on our own for dinner. Best Puerto Rican food we had at Bananas. The highlight was the bio bay kayak tour with David from Jax. Words cannot describe how magical it was. Then Rafael picked us up and we reversed the travel. Plenty of time to explore and relax. Highly recommend

  Magical sparkling water and glowing sea life beneath the boat! Also a beautiful afternoon at Sunset Bay Beach. We lovedi the high quality local sea food and coconut flan at Bananas restaurant. A beautiful day.

  Such a great tour! The bio bay was wonderful and magical! I can't say enough about how wonderful and convenient this tour was for us. Rafael was a great guide, driver, and communicated very well. Would definitely book again!

  Our driver was very kind and prepared some snacks. Because of the ferry schedule we left sannjuan earlier and had some extra time at the beach, but with no agenda just chilling. I think, the trip would benefit from an organized extra activity in the afternoon such as snorkeling. The kayaking at the lake was amazing!

  This tour was very well organized-We didn’t have to worry about a thing. The bioluminescent bay was amazing and educational and the beach and stop for dinner were a nice addition. The tour guides were all great!

  Great experience!! Took out stress of over planning. Shuttle picked us up at location spot and took us to ferry. Once in Vieques another shuttle took us to 1st beach. Definitely need towels to sit on sand or if you go swimming. We had earlier pick up and gave us extra time at our stops. Shuttle then took us to Esperanza, ate at local restaurant. Then we cross the street to watch sun set. We then checked in for our bioluminescent tour and the small bus took us there. Once at the location it was 2 people per kayak and very easy to get on the kayak and follow our tour guide as he explained the science behind the bioluminescent. Experience there was fantastic. We then drove back to Esperanza and our shuttle took us back to ferry. Once we got back shuttle took us back to our location puck up. On the drive to the ferry we also were able to see other places to visit while on our vacation. Rafael did a great job explaining great places to visit in Puerto Rico. The trip is totally worth what you pay. Our family of 4 loved it.

  Amazing trip to a beautiful island. The tour was magical with the amazing stars above and the bioluminescent below. Highly recommend!!

  This excursion was the best! Everyone we had as tour guides were amazing, taught us a lot about everything we were doing and places we were going during the tour! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!
